Leakproof coffee cup that keeps coffee hot

Please give me your tried and tested recommendations. All I want is one that really won't leak, and where my morning coffee is still hot by lunchtime. I've tried several that have leaked horribly despite being done up properly.

Another vote for contigo

Look up Contigo. I’ve been using their products for 8 plus years for all our family. I recently upgraded my thermos because I couldn’t drink from it in the car.

Contigo byron

Seconded. I have two of these and they're excellent. Amazon have them on offer now. 🌹

Someaddedsugar · 07/01/2024 07:00

DP has a Contigo and highly rates it. He does have to add cold water to his coffee on a morning to make it drinkable as soon as he's driving to work. If not he reckons it's about 30 minutes to an hour before it's drinkable.

I have a Chilly's cup and would not recommend as it leaks but I'm reluctant to change as I like the pattern on it and it feels wasteful.

Lonecatwithkitten · 07/01/2024 07:10

The Nespresso touch are brilliant. I have the touch, but the do leak occasionally. The nomads never leak. If I pre warm the cup it's defibately hot at lunch time.

fatandhappy47 · 07/01/2024 07:16

I have a Nespresso one

It was pricey at £25 but worth it

Are people really throwing their Contigos in their totes and rucksacks?

I totally believe you when you say they don’t leak but I think would still be too scared to do this, just in case of a leak.

Yes. When I used to commute by train, I could do exactly that with no fear of leak. I think there are several models, but the one I have did not ever leak.

ItsAStupidQuestion · 07/01/2024 07:30

Another vote for the IKEA one.

I make coffee in mine at 7.30am and if I don't finish it during the day (I drive around and have other drinks), it's still hot enough to drink at 5.30pm! Never leaked as it's a push down button type lid.

Another vote for sho and they do some beautiful designs if you don't want a plain one!

terriblyangryattimes · 07/01/2024 08:05

I have a Yeti mug, it's slimmer at the bottom so it fits in to the car cup holder. It's so good I have frequently burnt my tongue on the contents hours after making it. I now add more cold water after I've made it so it's the right temperature for drinking.

Magnetic slider for the lid, I've dropped the whole thing before and nothing leaked. It was a gift but well worth the money as four years on still going strong!

I have a smash one that's smaller but that does leak, from reading a PP maybe I've put it back together incorrectly!

OvertiredandConfused · 07/01/2024 08:28

I love my Nespresso Touch. Keeps drinks warm for hours, never leaked and does fit in my car cup holder (I have another Nespresso one that doesn’t). Have also had Contigo which was good, but always come back to my Nespresso!

Enjoy your Nespresso coffee outside of home thanks to the TOUCH Travel Mug. It will keep your coffee warm (or cold) while your hands stay cool.

I have the contingo snap seal cup and it keeps it warm & has never leaked

This. Best one I’ve ever owned and about £10

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 07/01/2024 08:31

Contigo west loop autoseal. Genuinely excellent.

Dee1224 · 07/01/2024 08:32

I have a Thermos - it keeps hot drinks hot for up to twelve hours, and does not leak, (provided you have put the seals on correctly!) It is probably one of my best ever purchases. I bought mine a few years ago, this is the closest current model I can find:

Anyone else find the metal containers completely change the taste of tea?

Yes! I only ever use mine for coffee!

I have a contigo & it's never leaked, make coffee at around 7:45am & it's still piping hot at noon (if the seal hasn't been opened).

They're so good that I'm on my fifth one - the previous 4 have been pinched my DD, my brother, my sister & my dad!!!

Bearpawk · 07/01/2024 08:44

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned a Stanley. They're excellent, trigger action to drink from to totally leak free.
My DB works outdoors all day and recommended it. Better than contigo etc imo.

scrivette · 07/01/2024 08:45

Both my Contigos have leaked but DH has had one that doesn't. His was a more expensive version though.

TBEITBN · 07/01/2024 08:51

+1 for SHO - pricey but worth it.

DecafOatMilkCappucino · 07/01/2024 08:51

I bought this one 3 years ago and it's still going strong despite being battered to within an inch of its life. The lid comes apart and goes in the dishwasher. Its easy and comfortable to drink out of, just be sure to 'lock' it before putting in a bag. They do nice designs as well.
