We gift people chocolate, why not crisps?!

Was thinking earlier how I'd bloody love a selection box of lovely crisps as a present. You know, nice posh ones you wouldn't normally buy yourself.

I may start it off 😂

Munching on Lidl luxury steak n stout flavour right now. Mmmmmm

elkiedee · 17/12/2023 14:25

I'm generally trying to eat less crisps and junk, so don't want them as a present, but thanks for giving me a good idea for the kids' pillowcases - no real idea what to give them as they live on their phones/Youtube and we don't have much money for bigger presents

Bananaman123 · 17/12/2023 14:28

I’d love this too, migraine with choc so crisps is my go to treat

One of my best friends is a huge crisp fan, great idea, I am absolutely doing that as part of her wedding advent calendar next year!!

Sorry but WTF is a wedding advent calendar??????????😳😳😳😳

I have crisps for breakfast every day. I’ve spent 42 years feeling wrong and a bit grubby but recently I’ve embraced my true desires and won’t hide in the crisp closet any longer

MuddledMadge · 17/12/2023 16:12

I've bought a box of crisps for teachers, in the past.

Peasinthefreezer · 17/12/2023 21:17

Oh this thread has made me order Tayto variety box off Etsy!!

I have long put crisps in DH and DCs stockings.

Space raiders though, not posh ones! Grin

Space Raiders are ace! I'd be happy with that.

I had to come back to tell you all that there's a guy who's trying to eat a different type of crisp every day (for 200 days):

I'd love this!

I did the favourite flavour Pringles wrapped up in DD stocking - a real hit 😁

ApplesinmyPocket · 09/01/2024 10:28

On the back of this thread I've bought 2 x 500g tins of Two Farmers lightly salted, and a box of Pipers' assorted - my adult DDs and son-in-law love crisps - one of their best presents at Christmas was Naked Tyrells which I got when they were slightly bargainous at 1.75.

Love crisps and much prefer them to chocolate!

Just returning to this thread to thank the OP for their inspiration. I got my three kids fancy big bags of crisps in their stockings (they like the expensive hand-cooked gourmet type, but only get whatever is on offer in their lunch boxes).

Also, my DS is 17 in a few weeks, and I’ve been struggling for extra little treats to get him so I’ve ordered a pub-card of scampi flavour fries. It is well documented that I ate nothing but them to ease morning sickness when pregnant with him, and he finally got to try a pack a few months ago and loved them.

it won’t be quite so sentimental to him but he’ll love the gift of crisps. It’s definitely the future.

EnjoyingTheSilence · 27/01/2024 10:13

Yes thanks @siriusblackcat i got friends a hamper at Christmas and filled it with crisps for their pressie. They loved it. Think you’re onto something here 😊
