When does terrorism become war?

Looking at the news this morning I think the media are finding it difficult to register Palestinian attacks as a terrorism event or simply an attack of one state against another.

I suppose whether you view 5000 tickets as a terrorist atrocity or a declaration of war is dependent on your views on whether Palestine can ever be a functioning state. We plainly in Europe would describe such events as terrorism in that civilian populations have been targeted but in the eternally challenged middle East the use of such a word has political connurtations.

There is one video of an elderly woman being evacuated that is being passed as an elderly woman being taken hostage on Twitter. Appart from thta I am not sure which video you are referring to.

As someone who lived in Israel, and visited Sderot many times, the children now being taken hostage and watching their parents stripped and dragged from them are already traumatised by Palestinian terror. Their playground are underground in bomb shelters, almost all have PTSD. The police station has racks of exploded ordinance around its perimeter that they’ve collected from the town and keep until the IDF can collect it. I’ve attached a picture of just one side of the station - and this stuff is collected pretty frequently. Anyone who is justifying this is at best a terror sympathiser.

It's disappointing to see people 'picking a side' and just sticking to it, rather than considering what's happened today.

Of course it's acceptable to show sympathy/support for Palestine generally but supporting terrorism is a different thing entirely.
