What the heck is this??!!

I just had a rummage in my freezer looking for inspiration for tonight's dinner and found a plastic container containing leftovers of some sort. I always write on the lid what things are, and it clearly says:

CEDRIC GROSS

What in the wide world can it be? Do I have to thaw it so I can find out? It looks like it may be something with rice, but what? 😂

When my great uncle in law passed his freezer was full of pies, all marked differently but we didn't know the code. We gamly cooked them up for surprise dinners, and all were good! But it was either pie and mash or pie and custard and we didn't know until it was cooked.

I never label anything for the freezer and every time I defrost a mystery box of brown, I regret not labelling. But do I learn...no, I do not.

I suspect I do it just to maintain a sense of danger so lacking in modern life. It's my version of bungee jumping.

I'm bad at labelling too! Once when I was unwell I got something out of the freezer to defrost, later in the day OH said he would put some pasta on to go with it, hence he created chilli con pasta! I did warn him to look for beans through the plastic bag before he cooked pasta.

Roast vegetable soup and chicken stock which hasn’t had the scum spooned off the top before freezing.

The first could be "Hoy: guiso de mondongo" worth $280 or an african lamb shank recipe [Courtesy Google reverse image search]
My guess - dates and something. or tomato and vegetable stew or curry.

The second is anybody's guess... gravy? ice cream?
