Discontinued food you miss

Currently really fancying the ww chicken & wedges, it was in a nice tomato sauce but I also really miss the slimming world tomato and bean soup that came in a pouch.

I realise these are both diet foods and tomato based, maybe I should just go and make a tomato salad 😂

That's them. I remember them being quite big.

Another one I miss is the Cadbury Nuts About Caramel bar - the caramel bar with hazelnuts in the middle.

Heinz used to do vegetable salad in a tin which my Nan used to buy me in the 80's/ 90's and I used to have with a jacket potato.
I miss both the tin and my Nan :(

Me too, I'm sure it was in a shiny red wrapped! I used to love them.

Does any body remember a Golden Cup? It used to be the posh version of a Cadbury's caramel. My dm would get one and we would share it, the ultimate treat. It felt so luxurious like Charlie eating the chocolate bar😂

Lean Cuisine! I’d forgotten that. I loved the chicken with wild rice.

In the early eighties you could buy a Pot Casserole, it was like a Pot Noodle (same tub) and you just added water to it, mixed and then voila a lovely casserole….honestly it tasted a lot nicer than it sounds.
I’m not sure if they were widely available because my then boyfriends father “aquired” them from a well known sauce factory where he worked!

The Lean Cuisine cannelloni were great. Reminiscing about them just last week.

Yup, they are really really good!

Wotsit Waffles. They were square grid shaped wotsits about 2-3 cm across. There would be huge clumps of wotsit powder caught in many of the grid holes!

Frosties and Mars delights. I'd sell my soul for one of those 😭

That's all right. It's just that I have spent far too much time online trying to get the Lutti ones. Clarnico disappeared ages ago I think.

I even emailed Lutti themselves who said that they were still making them but British suppliers say they have been discontinued.

Yeah it was called the New Yorker oval bite. It was delicious.

Does anyone else remember the Shoe People bars in the '90s? They were like a Freddo but textured like a Wispa? They were so good.

I remember those in the 80s. Sometimes the 5 centres Fondant wouldn't match up to the 5 segments of chocolate, so you'd get 2 flavours in each segment.
