I may have to name change after this, but I myself have had psychosis it's on going but can live a normal life somewhat - so I understand a lot about 'the voice inside my head'. I feel sorry for these starlets.

Nothing has made it more clear there were real reasons for that conservatorship being in place, than it being removed.

Exactly this. She’s mostly proving the conservatorship was the right call! Her dad running it not so much, but someone needs to make sure she takes her meds, goes to her appointments, counselling etc., doesn’t dance nude on the net, doesn’t publish bizarre rants…

Are we all supposed to pretend we can’t see what’s happening?

However wrongly her conservatorship was handled, there was clearly a reason for it. And I think those reasons still stand. She is not a well woman.

But, apart from her sons (who seem to be well looked after elsewhere), she’s not hurting anyone.

It’s just a shame to see. She was one of the greats.

There were very crystal clear ‘blind gossip’ reports that the team around her conservatorship pretty much knew this would happen, lost all ability to stop it through losing the conservatorship and predicted it would sadly go this way. I am not saying I approve of the conservatorship, mind, but I remember wondering when I read that would it be true.

It is just a crazy world we live in, I like others felt annoyed that no one tries to put men in a conservatorship but then in fairness Kanye’s not writhing about in a thong showing us his wax job. I am SO OVER the expectation/necessity/apparent desire of female stars to always be taking their clothes off while their male equivalents slouch about in baggy trousers, hoodies to neck and wrist and comfy trainers.

She was such an amazing dancer in her day. Whoever edits these videos for her is crap and she should fire them. She doesn’t even appear to be moving in time to the music half the time.

I don’t think any of us should be speculating on her mental state. She’s been through a lot and being a child star seems to be incredibly damaging to people. She’s surviving, same as everyone.

She was amazing! I adored her when I was young.
I don’t think what she does now could be classed as dancing. Although she has kind of moved on from the twirling. Now she slaps her bare bum until it’s red raw and gives everyone the middle finger.

She's not going to see her 60th birthday.

I stumbled across Britney Spears tiktok - not her, but loads of obsessed fans creating videos about how this isn’t Britney, how they have evidence these are deep fake videos.
There were signs early on that she wasn’t handling fame well at all, and to be fair that possibly stemmed from being pushed from a young age, and who knows what happened to her as a child.
Seeing so many broken famous people makes me hope that my children live normal dull lives.

She seems deeply unwell and comes across as vulnerable and chaotic in the videos I’ve seen- it’s the opposite of the Kardashians’ carefully curated SM.

It’s awful, her Instagram page has been strange for so long.

Well I guess that was what the conservatorship was for. I'm not saying having that degree of control is a good thing, but I doubt there is much more that can be done especially now that her relationships with her family have broken down.

I don't know anything about the husband but I admit to not having many positive thoughts about someone who could begin a relationship with and then marry someone so plainly vulnerable.

I never thought the conservatorship should have been dropped - what did a bunch of random fans on the internet who have never even met her know about her mental state? Most of them also probably couldn’t remember the days of Sam Lufti eg al when literally any random dude she passed in the street would be living in her house the next day. The conservatorship was done to ensure she could be looked after when she was clearly extremely vulnerable to these men. She obviously has mental health issues, possibly due to drug use as well as fame, early sexualisation and PPD, and it’s very sad she hasn’t been able to live the semblance of a normal life.

As to those questioning why Britney and not Kim K - Kim has never posted a rambling, nonsensical Instagram captions or posted videos of her twitching on a pole wearing a bikini, boots and with those awful extensions. Britney used to be an amazing dancer. It is truly sad what has happened to her.

Britney was trained from a young age to believe her value was in dancing provocatively.

It is indeed very sad. I hope she gets the help she so clearly needs.

As a Mum, watching her wants me want to cry. She's been so badly let down by everyone in her life especially her parents.

Her conservatorship obviously included keeping her medicated. Whilst not agreeing with it, per se, it would appear that she's now deeply in the grip of a manic episode and has been for months.

I feel desperately sad for her kids too - Mum can't care for them and Dad's just all about getting as much money out of her as he can.

I think Yeezy is a better example here.

The stuff he has been spouting. Don't see anyone taking control of his assets.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think there is still a Conservatorship in place, it’s just no longer her Dad in control.

Where is her new husband in all this? Could he not guide her away from all these Instagram videos?
