I hid the NHS thread.

Not sure who can still see Twitter on not, but may I present perpetual fuckmuppet Andrew Lilico attempting to argue that surgeons are not doctors

I mean, they might once have been barbers but these days the training route is a little different.

Lord, I remember when there was a Lilico fangirl (twas actually a fanman) on the Covid data threads.

Dear God what is wrong with these people. This will presumably be specific and limited force against refugee children.

Who or what is the bill supposed to be having a positive impact on? Rishi’s bank account?

Someone should make his head explode by pointing out that doctors aren't actually doctors either. (It's a courtesy title)

Some trolling going on here

Who stitched up
Richi ‘Stop the Boats’ Sunak
in the NHS service at Westminster Abbey today?
Who gave him Matt 25:35 to read?
“I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat.
I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink.
I was a stranger, and you welcomed me.”

deluded

The health secretary has refused to accept Conservative spending cuts have played a role in problems faced by the health service - blaming an ageing population, rising costs and the pandemic instead.

NHS at 75: Health secretary refuses to accept Conservative austerity cuts contributed to health service's woes

Asked by Beth Rigby whether his message to the public was to "keep the faith" when it comes to the government's handling of the NHS, the health secretary replied "yes".

Wasn't there one last year where Boris had to read something about honesty?

countrygirl99 · 05/07/2023 18:19

Maybe the jubilee?

RafaistheKingofClay · 05/07/2023 18:21

Yes! There was. It was the jubilee.

Yes. I remember that clearly and we asked back then who decided the chapters they read 🤣🤣🤣

RafaistheKingofClay · 05/07/2023 18:32

Better still they gave Keir the chapter from Revelation about the new Jerusalem at the NHS service. The bit about there being no more sadness or pain because all the old ways are gone.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and there was no sea anymore. 2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem,[a]coming down out of heaven from God. It was prepared like a bride dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Now God’s presence is with people, and he will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them and will be their God.[b] 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain, because all the old ways are gone.”
5 The One who was sitting on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this, because these words are true and can be trusted.”

Not sure exactly which verses it included but the mirror definitely referred to v4. No way that happened by accident. Well played.

I wonder if the interns will be along to tell us about But Jeremy Corbyn, its only cake, knowing what a woman is or look Whales?

RafaistheKingofClay · 05/07/2023 19:01

That reading from Matthew 25 is absolutely the reading that should go with a service celebrating the nhs. It probably would have been picked whoever the reader. It’s just a sign of how immoral the Tories are that when they read it it looks like they’ve been stitched up.

The Starmer reading paired with it at this point in time is just perfect though.

AdamRyan · 05/07/2023 19:06

Now I definitely think that Labour thread was a paid thread by CCHQ. Dowden going on about Welsh Labour at PMQs today. It's obviously the new narrative
