Taylor Swift tickets help!

My DD (14) is a massive Taylor fan. She is very excited at the thought of her touring UK and is desperate to see her. I've told her it was be very difficult to get tickets and sites will probably crash/sell out in minutes as they did in USA. I'm trying to manage her expectations but DD gets very upset when I say this! We've had a difficult couple of years (divorce and a bereavement) and I really would love to be able to take her. I've signed up to Taylor's websites for notifications, but does anyone have any hints/tips on other ways to help get a ticket.... priority websites etc?! Thanks in advance!

And what are the prices? I'll presume it's £125 to £1000s plus booking fee

stillherenow · 20/06/2023 22:15

I’ve registered for Wembley Milan and Warsaw, and tomorrow will register for the German dates. Hope they don’t all get released at the same time !

SemiDetachedKittenAsylum · 20/06/2023 22:38

No email after registering for me either 😕

I'm still not entirely getting this.

I've registered with ticketmaster...

But that's a lottery who gets chosen (is it just tough luck if we don't!?)

And if we do.... then it's still a lottery if we get thru on the phone on the day/if there's tickets left!?

This is so hard. I don't think we can do non London dates.

Also what is it you have to have ti hand? Just credit card?!?

Mummyme87 · 20/06/2023 22:44

I’m registered. So is my husband and a few friends. We are all adults and desperate to go, we’ll not my husband

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 20/06/2023 22:44

Basically yes, you sit on Ticketmaster and cross your fingers

HidingInAForest · 20/06/2023 22:58

I dont have other adults I can go in with so really hoping!

stillherenow · 20/06/2023 23:00

I was hoping dd would do the bulk of the waiting around on this but she’s actually paralysed by the fear of not getting a ticket ! It’s hard when you’re a teen and not yet used to life’s disappointments. I’m slightly worried she’ll forever resent me if I don’t get her a ticket .

Mindovermatter247 · 20/06/2023 23:06

Took me 45 minutes to get on the site to register for tickets… I don’t hold out much hope to actually buy them… dd11 is a massive fan, personally I can’t stand taylor swift, but kids come first and I do like a few of the songs… so fingers crossed I can get some, I’ll give them to her for Christmas…if I do..

SadnessHappens · 20/06/2023 23:42

Just seen on TikTok someone who works for ticketmaster who expects tickets to be starting at around 155.00 and up to a Maximum of around 3000.

My DD was like this. Merrily went off to school leaving instructions. Stropped for a while when Harry Styles tickets were near back.

It changed when some tickets came on sale on a Friday evening for a small local high demand record gig she wanted. We both tried to get - them - I managed she didn't. They sold out in 4 seconds. Then we had to get SZA tickets which she was also around for.

She now understands it's not as easy as she thought so she is a bit more understanding.

Has anyone regsitered with for Warsaw? Ive had an email saying about being verified, but no idea if I am verified or not.

It took a while for all the emails to come through, I got the one for Zurich this morning, despite registering yesterday teatime.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 21/06/2023 15:19

Hi, can I just check - people who have pre-registered - I am getting a screen on TM saying 'thanks, we've received your registration' but no follow-up - is that right??? I.e. no confirmation email - they say they will email on the 5th July if you have a chance to buy a ticket?

JustLurkingAway · 21/06/2023 15:21

I got this a few hours after, I don't think it's an issue though if you got the confirmations screen anyway

CommaChameleon7 · 21/06/2023 15:23

@JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff I only got my confirmation email this afternoon after registering yesterday teatime

LadyGreySpillsTheTea · 21/06/2023 15:38

DD1 has registered with every single venue in Europe, in the hope that at least one of them will produce a code. I think it’s safe to say she’s determined to get a ticket! Have never seen her like this about a gig before.
Interestingly, the German registration for us (we’re in Germany) went via a German agency called Eventim rather than Ticketmaster (maybe the same owner?) and the pre-reg was really easy, e-mail came straight away to confirm address. Maybe there are fewer Swifties here? All we need now is a code on the 5th! And a lot of luck on sale day, of course.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 21/06/2023 15:44

@CommaChameleon7 thanks :) useful to know.

CornishTiger · 21/06/2023 17:33

@Pedallleur Bruce did later say.

What I do is a very simple thing," Springsteen told Rolling Stone. "I tell my guys, 'Go out and see what everybody else is doing. Let’s charge a little less.' That’s generally the directions. They go out and set it up. For the past 49 years or however long we’ve been playing, we’ve pretty much been out there under market value. I’ve enjoyed that. It’s been great for the fans.

This time I told them, 'Hey, we’re 73 years old. The guys are there. I want to do what everybody else is doing, my peers,'" Springsteen added. "So that’s what happened. That’s what they did."

I was at a Bruce gig - the woman next to me paid £50 more for her seat.

Not having a transparent pricing policy just makes the whole ticketing experience so stressful.

Don't know if you have seen it in the other thread but they are hospitality seats available now. Liverpool (although they might have sold out by now) and I think Wembley went on sale this afternoon.

HidingInAForest · 21/06/2023 18:10

Who has 2 5k a ticket though?!?!

Tickets4teen · 21/06/2023 18:33

Update from me if anyone is interested. I've bought tickets direct via Anfield hospitality. Decent seats, with basic hospitality package. They were £308 each including booking fee - appreciate this may be out of budget for many, but I have no idea how much the normal tickets will be (even if we get the chance to buy any!) I have registered for Cardiff and Amsterdam too - I had booked hotels in both of those on Booking.com yesterday afternoon. So if anyone needs a hotel room, let me know and I'll cancel and let you know the minute I do so you can hopefully book (most accommodation has sold out)

By the time I got through to hospitality they had moved to leave a message only. Still got hope though

changer121 · 21/06/2023 18:51

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit

I got that too but tried again and got through and got 3x gold tickets and have very happy daughters.
They had availability for both days at Anfield

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit I rang last night at 7.30pm...wasn't expecting them to answer but spoke to a nice lady who said phone lines open until 8pm. She reserved them for me yesterday but couldn't take payment until today - she rang me back at 6pm today. She said it's been crazy -busier than anyone expected. Is it worth you trying to call back now? Not sure if they shut the phone line but it's usually open until 8pm.
