Taylor Swift tickets help!

My DD (14) is a massive Taylor fan. She is very excited at the thought of her touring UK and is desperate to see her. I've told her it was be very difficult to get tickets and sites will probably crash/sell out in minutes as they did in USA. I'm trying to manage her expectations but DD gets very upset when I say this! We've had a difficult couple of years (divorce and a bereavement) and I really would love to be able to take her. I've signed up to Taylor's websites for notifications, but does anyone have any hints/tips on other ways to help get a ticket.... priority websites etc?! Thanks in advance!

I’ve been kicked out of the registration queue twice by Ticketmaster saying I’ve lost my connection (been online fine whole time) I’m so sick of losing out on gig tickets due to Ticketmaster dodgy queuing system.

see tickets allowed me to register for abroad but local would be easier.

Just got this through, says you can buy up to 4 tickets

I received my code for Edinburgh about 30 minutes after registering. I was lucky and heard it announced on the radio so went straight on.

Sorry meant registration email NOT a code.

I've registered with Ticketmaster but didn't get a confirmation email saying I had registered. Did anyone get a confirmation saying they had registered?

I got a confirmation about an hour ago but I did it about 5:30ish so took 2 hours to come through!

Can anyone explain to me how to actually book tickets, assuming that I get to the front of the queue at some point? I have literally never booked gig tickets so am unfamiliar with Ticketmaster etc. My DSD is obsessed and desperate to go. We'd consider any UK venue so I know they sell separately but apart from that, I know nothing.

Someone mentioned upthread that you should know which seats you want ahead of time, but how would you know that?

Please could someone treat me like an idiot and explain to me? I'm already in the queue to register.

Yes got it about an hour ago...bit confused because I don't think I actually ended up preordering!

Ah I remember now, there was a note at the bottom of the email about presale last year saying no purchase necessary, so I think I must've just signed up without buying it

I signed up for presale (got the email from getting Midnights vinyl) but no email to confirm yet, annoying. Have pre-registered for all 4 UK locations too. It's going to be a BLOODBATH getting these tickets and I think those of us who have been around since 2006 should get first dibs hahaha.

Not looking for tickets but I’ve noticed that Cardiff hotels already upped the prices. Check out Newport hotels and get the train across. So easy.

Ticketmaster will prob offer airline style pricing again. The higher the demand the more you can expect they will push up prices.

personally I look at the stadium map, seating plan and work out which area I’d like to be in. However, by the time you get to Ticketmaster it very much is pot luck. I just click best available!

Is dynamic pricing involved? The greater the demand the higher the prices go. If so you need to set your bar to what you can afford. A £100 ticket could v.easily rise to 300 or more. Read the stories of Springsteen recent US tour. 100 pound prob the basic ticket price anyway.

Am I right in thinking you can only book premier inns a year in advance? Looking to book a room near Wembley we can cancel just in case…
