Taylor Swift tickets help!

My DD (14) is a massive Taylor fan. She is very excited at the thought of her touring UK and is desperate to see her. I've told her it was be very difficult to get tickets and sites will probably crash/sell out in minutes as they did in USA. I'm trying to manage her expectations but DD gets very upset when I say this! We've had a difficult couple of years (divorce and a bereavement) and I really would love to be able to take her. I've signed up to Taylor's websites for notifications, but does anyone have any hints/tips on other ways to help get a ticket.... priority websites etc?! Thanks in advance!

Nowing her she'll probably release another new original album before next summer (not just Speak Now TV) and there'll be more access codes.

Knowing FFS me 🤦‍♀️

Concerts don’t need to be at the o2 for them to go on sale with o2 priority. I got Beyoncé tickets at Tottenham through o2.
She won’t be over here until next summer.

I didn't realize. This is good!

I preordered the last album, we get priority booking. Have a household of fans here

HidingInAForest · 09/06/2023 13:12

So... battle planning.

HOw do I get early access / will they all go presumably to those with early access?

  • Is it too late to buy a CD?
  • Should sign up with O2?? Would a payg mobile count??

I've never bought tickets that sell out/super pricey before. We buy tickets for musicals and sometimes on day of release so we get an aisle seat - but they don't actually sell out that day!

Probably, they didn't even have the general sale in the US (it got cancelled), they sold them all at pre-sale.

There have been some on re-sale sites but they've not been coming down to reasonable prices like they have in the best.

You could try signing up with o2 but its not at all reliable and their servers cant handle the demand. Peter Kay crashed it for several hours...imagine what Taylor would do.

Usually it's just a case of whoever has the fastest internet wins but for the US it was all done through Ticketmaster sending out pre-sale codes so if you didn't get a code or have a capital one card you didn't even get the chance to try for tickets. There was around 2 million codes sent out. 14 million people joined the queue trying for tickets

I don’t know if will be the same with Taylor Swift but I managed to get tickets for Harry Styles last year by going through the Hospitality package provider at Wembley.

The tickets did cost more but is was worth every penny!

You can register in advance and say what concert you’re in.

Good luck!!

@NewIdeasToday when you say ‘more’ what are we talking? Are hospitality packages thousands

SunnySaturdayMorning · 09/06/2023 18:40

@HidingInAForest Early access has already been and gone last winter, buying a CD now won’t help.

o2 Priority may have their own presale.

In the UK they tend to separate presale tickets and general sale tickets so I don’t think they’ll all go on presale.

Hospitality packages for Taylor at Wembley are likely to be £2.5k+

Ostryga · 09/06/2023 18:51

For one ticket

HidingInAForest · 09/06/2023 20:51

Wow 2.5k is definitely out!!!! I'm amazed anyone can consider paying that.

Boo for the presale maybe being "it". I have no chance!

Letitrow · 09/06/2023 20:57

I don't know, the sign up for presale access was around the time American tickets went on sale and went very wrong, they might redo it or something if they've learnt anything from that. I reckon there'll be something around the time it's announced, or maybe with Speak Now TV release next month to have another chance.

When buying tickets I use a device on WiFi and a device on data, interestingly data has always won (got Glastonbury tickets a few times amongst general concerts that have sold out in minutes). That's my top tip along with checking log in details etc all working to save and delays.

ThePuma · 09/06/2023 21:17

Open as many browsers as you can in private mode. They each have separate IP addresses. I would typically open circa 100 and invariably manage to get a ticket.

lavagal · 20/06/2023 17:27

Uk dates announced for 2024!! Pre register is live

bibbityboppityboo · 20/06/2023 17:27

EUROPE TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

go to the Taylor Swift website

www.taylorswift.com/tour/

To register for international dates!!

Tickets4teen · 20/06/2023 17:37

I'm in multiple queues to register for different cities!!

OP posts:
lavagal · 20/06/2023 17:45

Me too I'm in queues for London Liverpool and Dublin

HidingInAForest · 20/06/2023 17:46

Wow. I'm in a queue now but feeling a bit glum about it.

Presumably wembky will sell out first? Were South Coast so anywhere else will be even more of a hike - but Cardiff is midweek - so quieter?! But a couple of days off school wont be ideal...

ApolloandDaphne · 20/06/2023 17:47

I'm in the queue too. My DD is in a meeting when the tickets are released so I need to help her try and score some.

TokyoSushi · 20/06/2023 17:47

Oh my! I'm going to see if a middle of the night registration might be any easier!

JustLurkingAway · 20/06/2023 17:49

Do you need to be in multiple queues, one for each venue? Because when I go to join another one it puts me in the same queue space as the first. Is it not just a sign up for access to all UK dates?

lavagal · 20/06/2023 17:52

I'm not sure the venue you choose to register with matters, I have a few open and looks like I'm in a similar place in the queue for all

HidingInAForest · 20/06/2023 17:55

When are the actual tickets released? I can't see that!

christmastreefarm · 20/06/2023 17:57

HidingInAForest · 20/06/2023 17:55

When are the actual tickets released? I can't see that!

18-20 July depending on city

lavagal · 20/06/2023 17:57

Can't see when tickets are released or how long registering is open for as agree with pp that middle of night registering may be easier !!
