Again this is in the news with him getting a restraining order. I always thought Alice was nuts but I've been reading that Ioan isn't as nice as he makes out. And those silly staged pics of him and his girlfriend.

Ioan has a RO against Alice Evans. The courts don't hand them out on just "he said, she said" evidence. It has to be proved . Actually proved with texts, recordings and witness statements.

Ioan was awarded one against Alice. The judge offered five years but Ioan opted for only three. She has behaved appallingly and has prevented Ioan seeing the children at every turn. The evidence is all in court documents.

The restraining order was to stop AE posting her ranty and borderline defamatory posts on SM. It wasn’t like the restraining order handed out to domestic violence perps. She was stalking IG online, not in person. But some of you have run with it and said that IG is a victim of DV. Don’t make me laugh…

The SM posts, to be fair, needed to stop. They seem to have done and she's toned it down so much.

It's a pity Ioan didn't see the girls for over a year. It won't have helped his relationship with them.

Do you honestly think this is an acceptable response to putting a child in a situation which she has repeatedly said she didn’t want to be in, and which Ioan knew had a high risk of ending badly?

Alice evans seems like a broken angry woman pushed to her limit to me. Yes even to the point of craziness.
If he really thought her so bad he should have not left his kids with her.
Frankly I don't believe a word of his shit.

I tend to agree and I think the Depp/Heard comparison is a suitable one. IG has steadily goaded Alice into lunacy - only to step back and pretend to be the calm, measured one. She is an unbalanced menopausal mess, but he is scheming and selfish.

If that was the holiday to Wales to see his family, I think A was preventing visitation after visitation at this stage. Maybe he selfishly wanted a holiday, I expect he would have loved to take the girls.

I am sure he is not perfect but I think he has behaved with massive restraint.

And I not posting hate about anyone or really support about anyone. I am interested in the case for the facts and what has been made public via court as well as their own words and actions (not as reported on social media by the other). When people come in and viciously and hatefully attack Ioan and praise Alice - that is not based on a single fact in this case. That is her approach and why he got a restraining order. Anyone who actually has read the court documents could not be so stupid as to then take that position if the can read and process English.

Who here is doing that? Some posters (far less invested in the minutiae of this case than yourself) are just suggesting that there are two sides to this story and IG isn't the saint he is being presented as.

You’ll need to show me where anyone has “viciously and hatefully” attacked Ioan. There have been a handful of threads here about this on MN, and some people don’t think Ioan has prioritised his daughters post seperation the way he should have and the way the need them to.

I can, however, show you 176 threads of pure vicious hate towards Alice Evans. Not even she would be capable of producing such bile. Perhaps you should focus less on Alice and have a look at yourselves.

I’m not Alice, I’m not one of her circle, I’ve never met her, spoke to her, even knew of her before I started seeing some of this stuff online. I’ve been posting on Mumsnet FOR YEARS.

Agree. I'm not on the side of either of the parents. There's been some ill judgment on both sides. I'd also like to wait for the result of the hearing for the restraining order before commenting further about Ella.
