I've been up since half seven yesterday morning and have just driven back from holiday and read this in bed. I suspect I won't be sleeping as well as I expected, too excited for updates.
I really hope this is good for Ukraine.

Briefly checking before another hour in bed (and I’ve got a very busy day being a parent, so won’t be following closely).

1. Pictures and videos show troops, tanks, other military vehicles deployed on the streets of Rostov.
2. Elsewhere I note an image of smoke ‘from a downed helicopter’ off in the distance while people wait by their vehicles in a queue.
3. There’s not a lot coming out of what I would term ‘reliable’ Wagner channels.
4. If you have Rostov, you have a base. Welcome to White Russia.
5. Forces at or near the front with Ukraine seem to have turned and headed to the rear to [whatever].
6. Russian regular forces are not deployed in a configuration to deal with this, they will mostly be on or near the front engaged with Ukrainian forces. Not that there won’t be troops in the rear…
7. they have after all felt able, allegedly, to attack a Wagner force ‘in the woods’ tipping Prigozhin over the edge.
8. What is truly going on is hard to say and where loyalties will lie if opposing Russian fighters encounter each other remains to be seen.
9. Standing aside or flipping to whoever you think is going to win is in the playbook.
10. Prighozin has said the war against was launched under false pretences. Whatever happens, given the audience he has built up and the sacrifices his murderous team has made, that’s going to shake a foundation or two.

I can't really see how anything is going to happen here though, the Kremlin/Putin is just too 'big' to be stopped in this way. I think the outcome will be that Prigozhin is dead and the whole shit show will rumble on.

The removal of Putin is going to be death by 1000 cuts. This is a pretty big one, but it's not the fatal blow I don't think.

Video appears to show Prigozhin meeting top Russian officials
A video which has emerged in the past few hours shows Yevgeny Prigozhin meeting with Russia's Deputy Defence Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

It is unclear when the footage was taken, but it purports to show Prigozhin sitting down with Yevkurov and Vladimir Stepanovich Alekseev, the deputy chief of Russia's military intelligence service.

Prigozhin has demanded a meeting with Russia's chief of the general staff Valery Gerasimov and Russia’s Defence Minister, Sergei Shoigu.

The video was allegedly taken at Russia's southern military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don.

The BBC has not independently verified the footage.

The Wagner group, we're just trying to figure out what's actually going on.

It might be more complicated than that. Once it became clear that Russia were not in fact going to take Kyiv in 3 days, the best outcome for China was Russia weakened but still stable. What Beijing does not like is instability in states it has a border with.

Russia is a massive place, of course, and what's happening at the moment is a continent away from China, but I'm not sure they'll be thrilled about warring militias. They'd prefer this to be suppressed quickly.
