Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

PS was asked how many times he had sexual relations with MM, he said 4 or 5, then when asked again said maybe 6 lol
Also he kept referring to him as a mate. Bit strange I thought.

He said quite a few things that were inaccurate or contradictory about minor details but that is more a sign of honesty - when you are stressed out and in a high pressure situation talking about things that happened 3-9 years ago, you aren't going to remember every exact detail. It is more concerning if it is so rehearsed that everything aligns perfectly as that isn't how the human mind and memory work.

I don’t quite understand what Caroline’s mum is meaning? Is she worried about Philip or the young man?

Both of them - she said ITV havent learned, and that they are still treating their staff and presenters as commodities instead of humans. Building them up to be untouchable, then dropping anyone who makes things a bit tricky. She said "wait and see" about PS and MM, rather than piling on him

Paul2023 · 03/06/2023 21:41

So Holly is denying she knew anything about Phil and this young guy, and hence her falling out with him?
Or is she angry about his brothers recent conviction?

Paul2023 · 03/06/2023 21:46

It’s possible the crew from This Morning new what PS was up to.
Then again they may not have known anything.

But who the hell are MPs to judge the boss of ITV? They can’t exactly take the moral high ground can they ? !

I'm confused as to why they're investigating it, unless they've been told more? Although surely the police would get involved if that were the case. It's definitely confusing.

It also puts a massive strain and responsibility on his daughter. He’s openly saying he’s using her for life support. He’s just so fucked up.

Totally. I unfortunately have a lot of experience of suicidality, attempts and deaths and have read very widely. From all I've learnt, PS comments about only being here due to his daughter etc are very, very atypical. People who are experiencing suicidal thoughts very, very rarely articulate them to family and friends, let alone a journalist. A year later maybe, but days later? No.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 03/06/2023 23:51

I agree. I have bipolar and the very last thing I would admit is suicidal ideation or intent in public, let alone depend on my DC to keep me safe

Sympathies 🌻

But yes, exactly.

I read narcissism and manipulation when I saw that video.

Is that entirely true though? I remember my friend intimated that they had suicidal thoughts. Months later he was gone. People do sometimes give an indication of what is on their mind.

in Schofield’s case it might be a strong feeling of despair.

Paul2023 · 04/06/2023 13:34

I think PS just feels sorry for himself that this has all come out. He brought this on himself.

So did Holly fall out with him because she claims she didn’t know? Or because of Scholfields brother being convicted in sexual offences? Obviously that’s not PS fault unless he knew..

Harringtonperle · 04/06/2023 16:23

He did know, he's admitted that

No it isn't true. Sudden situations that have signficant loss and cause very intense emotions often make people feel trapped and hopeless and that leads to people feeling like I can't get through this, I can't come out the other side, I want to just die and disappear, I don't want to live without them, my life is over., I am only living for XX. Voicing those thoughts is quite common.

Sometimes those intense emotions are humiliation and embarrassment or dishonour and shame or remorse or guilt. Sometimes they are grief, sometimes they are rejection, abandonment etc A sudden situation where so much in life changes and you can't see a way out the other side often leads to suicidal thoughts that get voiced. It is partly a way to cope as it provides an out when a way forward doesn't seem possible but it is important to take it seriously.

Harringtonperle · 04/06/2023 16:23

He did know, he's admitted that

Although he knew, didn't he also say that he didn't know the true age of the victim at the time the offences took place. That he was told his brother's victim was 16y and not underage? Obviously he may well have not been telling the truth about that it either...

Me too

Nofixedabodewell · 04/06/2023 21:50

Just unbelievable. So so manipulative.

LizzieSiddal · 04/06/2023 22:19

I’ve just seen those pictures and they are so manipulative aren’t they. This plus his BBC interview makes me think he really is hiding something else.

JenniferBooth · 04/06/2023 22:26

Unfuckingbelievable

Aquarius1234 · 04/06/2023 22:53

Yeh yuk yuk totally staged.

HadleyVaughn · 04/06/2023 21:33

I think it is absolutely repugnant to try to use your 87 year old mother for obviously stagged "pap" photos to garner sympathy. I'm repulsed by this.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12158071/Axed-Morning-star-Philip-Schofield-pictured-embracing-mother-87-bench-Cornwall.html

Are there no depths beyond which PS is not willing to plunge?

Using his poor 87 year old mother in the middle of her other son being jailed is horrendous.

Poor lady.

QuintanaRoo · 04/06/2023 23:01

As obviously staged as the Thomas Markle getting measured for a suit photos were! Does PS think people are stupid?

mainsfed · 04/06/2023 23:06

He’s got unusual hands - long palms and short fingers.

And now we know who he inherited the bright white crop of hair from.

The answer to that is yes.

BordoisAgain · 05/06/2023 07:38

oooh, just leave him alone, he's lost everything

This would have been old news already if it weren't for the interviews, staged photo ops, etc. being done by PS and his crisis management team. Maybe he should think about keeping his head down for a while and giving us a break from his narc sob stories.

As for "lost everything", what a crock of shit. He has millions in the bank, his family and lots of friends supporting him.
