Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning! I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over. I'm sure he's got a bob or two --is loaded-- but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

The 'public' message is that she only found out in 2020, or rather, in the months leading up to his announcement in Feb of that year. We can choose to believe that or laugh at it, secure in the 'knowledge' that it's been an open secret for years. But regardless of whether or not she knew all along, it's the fact that she's being so supportive that puzzles me. She could continue her 'lovely' life just by keeping her head down, but she's doing more than just going along with it. Family hols to Paris, partnering him for events even after he came out. In fact, she wouldn't even have to go along with it at all - she would be able to get an enormous divorce settlement, enough to finance a lovely enough life.

This runner guy came from a theatre group for deprived children. It is not ok for any television company to let the lead anchors abuse others to keep money rolling in for them.

Actually, I was just thinking he was treating her in the same way he treats his mother. The two women he relies on for support. He's apparently consulted both of them as to how to deal with this recent development.

You have Love Island? How can you have LI? Eastenders shouldn't be categorised with a lot of the junk television we get these days. I haven't watched it in years but when it started in 1985 or 86, it was a soap of reasonable quality. Not high art but good light entertainment. Really? He’s 61yo. She looks like a woman in her late 50s. I think we’re just not used to seeing celebs with age appropriate women. Just because she’s not a stick thin woman in her 30s does not mean she looks old enough to be his mum. She does not look like she’s in her 80s!
