Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

HW is on holiday having chilled time in her 8 million Algarve home.

MM got fired from the pub he worked at for doing cocaine and having sexual chat with girls.

I agree @LadyBird1973 - he absolutely will be thinking he has a way back as he hasn't done anything illegal Angry

I read that Carole McGiffen said a runner on LW was let go to make way for MM. If true, that's another victim in this story that he didn't mention. Such horrible fall out from one nasty man.

Yes I wondered the other day about who was doing the runner jobs before MM, assumed they just got told to move on.

I don't know the truth but all of this hounding and going downhill is enough to make anyone's mental health go rapidly downhill.
Hard to know which is true and which isn't

What can’t be refuted is the fact that he used his obvious position of power and authority in his profession to groom a young lad who was not 18 when all this contact began. He may have been over 18 when any sexual contact happened but you’ve got a massive power imbalance between the two parties. I see Schofield’s still in denial this morning. He would have known his world would come crashing down when this all came out. It’s a shame he didn’t have the imagination when he was seeing this lad behind his wife’s back, to see what would happen. It’s the young lad I feel sorry for. It’s his mental health we should all be concerned about.

That's the same Carol Mcgiffin who was sacked from LW for batshit covid conspiracy theories and supporting the Capitol Riots and trump.
The alcoholic unemployed one who's desperate to make herself relevant.
Reliable source is she?

Harringtonperle · 02/06/2023 10:37

Omfg so despicable. Pure, pure acting. And mentioning Caroline Flack?! Could he be any more odious?!

Aquarius1234 · 02/06/2023 10:41

CM spends most her time on holiday. Fair enough or you like that. Just wondered if if younger husband works? Not many Jobs even in tv industry you can take months off at a time.

She looks like an ordinary, mumsy, middle class middle aged woman, not the showbiz type at all, although apparently they met through showbiz.

A very good woman to have in the background.

There are quite a lot of “mumsy” women in showbiz. They just don’t get to appear onscreen.

Idontpostmuch · 02/06/2023 10:46

Zarataralara · 02/06/2023 06:11

I don’t usually give a flying fuck about “celebrities” but him playing the victim, using his pathetic whispery voice to try to justify himself is beyond disgusting. PS says he’s lost everything, well boo hoo you’ve still got a roof over your head, ££££ in the bank, you can live in luxury anywhere in the world, stop bloody whinging.
Aiu he was a patron of a youth drama club, did he take all the kids out for meals, did he organise work opportunities for all the club numbers or was it just this one boy?

Yes he's hardly down and out. And he's not the only person forced to stop work. Many professional firms are stuck in the dark ages and have a clause in contracts requiring partners to retire at age 60, despite retirement age being 66, and despite the fact that it's illegal to treat employees in the same way. Some of these people are no more ready to retire than PS and don't have his fortune. So go away PS and stop whining.

Lucy377 · 02/06/2023 10:47

That interview was just shown on BBC News with This Morning on the other channel.
There was only remorse and truth telling because he was caught.
That 'nudge nudge wink wink' comment really sickens me. He's remorseful but still blind to the reality of it.
So it's OK for some old guy to shag a very young female work colleague who is beholden to him for her career.

CabbagePatchDole · 02/06/2023 10:47

HadleyVaughn · 01/06/2023 21:36

I think she was at the NTAs when MM allegedly declared his love for Philip in front of everyone.

So what? Imagine exactly the same scenario but where MM was a woman. We all know how that conversation would go.

The post on MN would be:

I've been married to my husband for 20 years. He's always been loving and a great dad to our daughters. Thanks to his work, he's been able to provide well and we have a great lifestyle. He's often had girls having crushes on him at work and we've laughed about it together. Last night I went to a big work event with him which I go to every year. A young woman who is very junior suddenly started waxing lyric about how much she loved him. She was a bit drunk and it was a bit embarrassing. A couple of his colleagues told me not to worry about it - she'd just got a crush and it was fairly obvious. Still there was something about it playing on my mind.

In the cab on the way home, he told me how much he loved me and our children and that this was just another starry eyed intern. I believed him at the time but something is bothering me. I think it was the intensity of the declaration and this morning I'm not sure what to think.

Then there would be a pile of posts saying, believe your husband he's never given you cause to doubt him in 20 years and young women at work are sexual menaces. I know because my own husband who has been secretely fucking the receptionist for a year but I choose to believe he is perfect and I will be back here posting I can't believe it when he leaves me for her in another 6 months has been pesterd by ambitious young women starting on the work ladder.

That's how it would go. There are none so blind as those who don't wish to see.

Great piece of writing. You should do it for a living - if you don’t already. Brilliant.

GuitarRookie · 02/06/2023 10:52

What he did was wrong. He is in denial about just how wrong, but I think enough is enough now.

He is an actor, let's not forget and I do think he's called on those skills a bit (or a lot) here. However, I do believe his mental health is shot and he should now be left alone. Those who believe he's really done wrong should still be satisfied that he's still having to deal with the consequences and they are huge, but yes, I think they should all back off a bit now.

CabbagePatchDole · 02/06/2023 10:53

Twonewcats · 02/06/2023 00:33

But did they become good friends when one of them was 15? And the older one has a sexual preference for the gender of the other? And was one in a significantly more powerful position?
Friendships across generations are completely normal, but not when there's such an imbalance

My youngest friend is 30!years younger than me. I have to say I much prefer the company of my older friends. They are just more grounded on the whole and we share a culture. If friends are older than me I learn from them. I learn from my young friends too of course. But I really don’t know how people have intimate relations with very young people. It doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. Some have wanted that with me but it feels so…just not right. I’d feel I was exploiting them for sex. Nothing wrong if you like that sort of thing but most of us don’t.

LizzieSiddal · 01/06/2023 23:26

He’s also saying there was nothing wrong in him tweeting the 15 year old on social media.

Well despite that behaviour being a huge safeguarding red flag he’s got to say that because there are other examples all over Twitter of him making the first move towards contacting other 13/14 year old boys, sometimes in the middle of the night.

Well then that’s where it gets grim

Twonewcats · 02/06/2023 11:21

Do we know what age MM allegedly was when they began a relationship?

BonesBrennanz · 02/06/2023 11:35

@Idontpostmuch i think most partners at professional firms are ok financially. Maybe not in the way PS is but I’m not worried about them needing a food bank.

It depends on the firm, and on length of time as a partner before retirement ie how much time there's been to build up capital. But yes, of course they won't be poverty stricken, but they won't have the great riches to sweeten the pill that PS has. However I was talking about filling the endless hours which used to be filled with a job that meant something to the person concerned. He's complaining about having nothing to fill his time. Whether you agree with his sacking, or think he's been treated unfairly, the fact remains that many people have to stop work before they want to.

No one knows. They stopped posting to each other on twitter when MM was 19 after he did the 3 week work placement stint at ITV.

MM moved to London and started working for ITV just after his 20th birthday.

Any guesses are just speculation.

Thanks, i had wondered if anything had been stated. I just feel so yuck about the "unwise but not illegal", to me it's like "I waited till he was legal" as opposed to someone he only met at 18ish. Grim.

They are all fake, HW also etc etc

Its a bit more than wrong. Already they are starting to forgive.

"What rolf did was wrong, but it's difficult because I still love Rolf Harris" 🤢🤢🤢
I'm so confused about why there's so much sympathy/support, when he's a fucking groomer.

There MUST be people pressuring this angle to cover their own lies. It makes zero sense otherwise.

MeinKraft · 02/06/2023 13:10

The schofield interviewer has really pissed me off the more I hear about it. He's presented himself like a domestic abuser the morning after an attack; 'this is so hard on me, I didn't even do anything wrong, it wasn't illegal, it was barely even a thing, I might kill myself if you don't shut up about it.' Gaslighting the viewer with his words and his appearance. Comments sections are full of daft people saying 'whatever happened to #bekind' well whatever happened to #metoo

QuintanaRoo · 02/06/2023 13:27

I wonder if MM will ever release a statement even anonymously via the media. Because surely if he feels it was ok, and definitely no grooming he wouldn’t want to see Schofield being accused like this? So currently the silence is deafening……I wonder if he’s currently sat in a room with a Mail on Sunday journalist spilling the beans for a big payout?

AlecTrevelyan006 · 02/06/2023 13:40

Has Schofield got the same adviser as Prince Andrew??? he really ought to STFU.
