Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

@Newnamenewname109870

He admitted it today so yes we absolutely do know that he had the affair because he told us.

So no it's not a 'horrendous allegation'

Emmelina · 26/05/2023 21:03

I’ve not been following very closely, but just caught this tweet from Eamonn Holmes which makes me wonder what else is coming (and also why Eamonn didn’t tell anyone 🤔

ImAvingOops · 26/05/2023 21:15

Eamonn's going for it. Hope he cleared that with Ruth first, cos he keeps being very blunt and his wife still works at ITV.
Watch Loose Women all avoid talking about this next week!

grass321 · 26/05/2023 21:54

The only person I feel really sorry for is the runner in question.

This rumour has been circulating on public forums for a couple of years so it's inconceivable Holly et al didn't know. Not least because he had work experience on the show.

Those who helped to cover it up should hang their heads in shame, irrespective of whether it was illegal or just inappropriate and highly unprofessional.

CherryCokeFanatic · 26/05/2023 22:01

Holly 100% knew, and she is awful anyway, she needs to go. Statement the other week by PS about their fallout could have been a veiled threat that he could throw her under the bus too if she knew about it or did anything that could be perceived as condoning it

LaffTaff · 26/05/2023 22:51

Eamonn is a massive hypocrite. The affair with the runner hit the skids 2019, then in 2020 Eamonn hugged Schofield on his 'coming out' show, and wrote gushy articles congratulating him on his bravery! Is there anyone on TV with integrity!?!

purpleme12 · 26/05/2023 23:07

Oh interesting didn't know he wrote gushy articles saying he was brave

Haywirecity · 26/05/2023 23:16

Yes, thet must all have known. Eamonn and Ruth and Rylan - all these two faced people - congratulated him on his bravery. I think Rylan cried a bit. Ugh.

letthemalldoone · 26/05/2023 23:23

PS' 'performance' the day he came out was Oscar-worthy - especially in the light of what we now know! All the lauding about how brave he was!!! And saying that he hadn't acted on his feelings to date... lying bastard!

purpleme12 · 26/05/2023 23:25

I didn't think he was brave anyway.
All I though was his wife and children and lying to them

purpleme12 · 26/05/2023 23:26

And i did like him before then. While I didn't dislike him after, he went down in my estimation

ArcaneWireless · 26/05/2023 23:26

I watched Ruth and Eamonn that day.

They had the same face on them as I do when I am told to do something because it is in my job description when I know fine it is not.

They clearly looked like they were following orders. Ruth is believed to have complained about Phil and the runner and got the door instead.

Lemieux3 · 27/05/2023 01:09

It seems ironic to me that TM had to get rid of John Leslie, back in the early 2000s because of the chat about whether he had raped Ulrika Jonsson. So they swapped one type of predator for another FFS.

SinnerBoy · 27/05/2023 01:51

I can't be the only one to be amazed by ITV's statement that their management knew nothing about this until the other day.

It's been public knowledge for a few years now!

Whatt · 27/05/2023 01:54

You can see Phil forcefully grab Eamon for a hug. He didn't run up and hug him.

That's really an quite unfair thing to say. Matthew Wright apologised for saying John Leslie's mame and said he'd got it wrong. Johnsson never alleged it was him. He was then investigated by the police on another assault allegation for which he was charged. It got dropped when new evidence emerged. He then got charged on another allegation on which he was found not guilty.
There has never been any proven evidence that he has assaulted anyone.

Lemieux3 · 27/05/2023 02:06

He has been accused multiple times and Ulrika never said it wasn't him, either did she?? If an innocent man's name was being dragged through the mud very publicly you would say it wasn't him if it wasn't! Jeez...

Lemieux3 · 27/05/2023 02:08

Assault / rape cases are very hard to prove.

Nofixedabodewell · 27/05/2023 02:13

At the time that PS I thought it was widely known that he’d had an affair with a runner. Why is everyone making such a fuss now? I detest him anyway and couldn’t understand why everyone was rushing to congratulate him on ‘coming out’.

Lemieux3 · 27/05/2023 02:19

The 'coming out' revelation was a way of PS, the narc controlling the narrative, creating a smoke screen and making people feel sorry for him, when the real victim was this poor young guy, who evidently was used by PS as a sex toy and then had his career stopped in its tracks because of PS.

People do not need to come out in such a way these days - certainly not when you're a daytime talk show host. It's a non issue. Nobody talks about Rylan Clarke being gay, so they?

As I said, it was a smoke screen to buy PS more time at TM and deflect from the real issue that he chases underage boys.

Haywirecity · 27/05/2023 02:25

Who knows what Ulrika Johnsson might or might not do. He's been accused 4 times that's true.

  1. Matthew Wright - he withdrew the claim and apologised
  1. Charged. New evidence emerged to exonerate him.
  1. Investigated. Dropped by police as no evidence
  1. Charged. Court case. Found not guilty on all counts.

Do you not think that if all this was true, at least something would be proved? And even if all of it is true, you have no evidence to say it is.

I could make an allegation that Lemieux3 has been seen going through people's handbags at work when people are in meetings. I bet you someone thinks they had money stolen. It must be that thief Lemieux.

Lemieux3 · 27/05/2023 02:43

Do you not think that if all this was true, at least something would be proved?

Not necessarily. His career seems to have dried up though, that's for sure. And he was often quite pervy with female guests a whole lot younger than him.

UJ would have exonerated him if she wasn't referring to him.

kettlebellchips · 27/05/2023 03:17

People calling PS a predator, is there a suggestion that the relationship with the runner wasn’t consensual?

Lemieux3 · 27/05/2023 03:21

How can a relationship be consensual when the guy was well under 18? Children cannot consent. There was also a massive power imbalance at play here.

Many children who are the victims of sexual abuse from their parent actually grow up thinking that it's loving behaviour.
