Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

The DM article is much more thorough than the Sun one. It seems he lied to them a few days ago when they wanted to drop the story and has issued a formal statement through his solicitor to the DM apologising and confirming he is quitting ITV and being dropped by his management agency.

DM has the scoop it seems

bladebladebla1 · 26/05/2023 18:54

I know we knew about it but this still all feels pretty mental. I'm trying to picture behind the scenes for the last few weeks to come to this. He's finished

bladebladebla1 · 26/05/2023 19:02

I might get slated for this, but I feel like Holly didn't know and when she did (recently) she fell out with him. I'm probably a naive idiot tho but I just can't see ANYONE being ok with that.

SiouxsieSiouxStiletto · 26/05/2023 19:04

He's resigned now after "admitting he had an affair with a younger colleague". If that isn't the biggest euphemism I've over heard for paediphilia.

BreadInCaptivity · 26/05/2023 19:07

Thing is this is not news.

Everyone knew/suspected.

His agency, ITV and people working on This Morning.

IMHO the story is not about PS lying.

It's about all the people around him enabling his lies because it was in their ££ to do so.

Funny how they develop a sense of morality now....when he's "done".

No big thing to drop "talent" that won't be a earning commission any time soon...

That's the BIG scandal here and them running for the hills now doesn't mitigate that.

Does anyone know what year he started the affair with the young boy who was groomed as a teen.

ImAvingOops · 26/05/2023 19:36

Given that this has been all over the internet for years I think @BreadInCaptivity has nailed it - itv bosses and his 'best friend' need to be explaining why they were all so comfortable backing him for so many years. Backing him above FB, RL, AH.

Lemieux3 · 26/05/2023 19:38

There are people who have looked into this and found that PS started following this runner on Twitter (before he got that job) when he was only 15 years old.

MM was tweeting PS and PS never replied until one week after MM turned 18. Funny, that!

Lemieux3 · 26/05/2023 19:40

If PS was shagging the boy when he was 15, he certainly won't admit it will he??

There is a big game of admitting to the least he can get away with, here.

If people on here were talking about it and people in the press were talking about it, how could Holly not know? I know she has adopted a persona of insipidity and stupidity but she's not. She's got herself into a good position using PS so I'm sure she has a very good grip on what's going on around her.

ArcaneWireless · 26/05/2023 19:48

Exactly Bread

All those round him, including Bestybestybest friends, probably knew fine and said nowt.

They are not to blame for what he did. Like it or no, they enabled it though.

For dosh? For fame? Who knows.

But I will tell you this. You are almost every bit as clarty as he is.

And you can distance yersel as much as ye like. Shite sticks. Yer hauns will be as raw as those hingin aff the arms of Lady Macbeth.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 26/05/2023 19:49

Yeah this is all the Daily Mail. You could see it coming a few days ago. It's their modus operandi and they kept pushing until they got him to negotiate a deal with him. Otherwise they would have published the story they wanted to run which would've been pretty different. Either way, he's toast. For now. He'll try to make a come back.

brassbells · 26/05/2023 20:03

He was definitely doing "something" with Mathew before he was the legal age

brassbells · 26/05/2023 20:06

IMHO anyway

TomatoSandwiches · 26/05/2023 20:07

It does raise questions about what exactly happened in the Schofield household for at least 2 siblings to be attracted to very much younger men, whether PS has crossed the legal line as his brother did remains to be proved but the age difference is still uncomfortable for many people.

brassbells · 26/05/2023 20:08

HIS DD works at or did work at the same agency he has been dropped by

So she will probably have lost her job too which is a shame for her

He had shares in the agency as well

Hopefully her work will stand on its own merit. It's not her fault her dad's a right creep

brassbells · 26/05/2023 20:17

Hope MOLLY, his DD, does get to keep her job cos I agree it isn't her fault her dad is a creep

I thought this too.

And also agree with pp who have said their is culpability with ITV, his agent etc who will surely have known and turned a blind eye until it was not in their financial interests to do so.

This is what I believe too, they were most likely abused themselves as youngsters.

I feel quite sorry for Phil’s mother, she is 85 years old and her last years are seeming to be anything but happy.

Do we actually know that happened though? It’s a pretty horrendous allegation! Unless someone actually knows someone, he could very easily have started liking him when he grew up.

Why do you think she got the job in the first place?

PS was a shareholder in the agency.

I'm not heartbroken by the idea that nepo children get to share the consequences of their parent's failure as well as success.

Well PS has the money and influence to get therapy for this perversion....unlike most people!!
