Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

DJ is not Disc Jockey but initials. You should ask for your post to be removed as it names someone who has nothing to do with this. And the way SM works people may be all over the person looking for things that don’t exist.

I've just come back to this thread and can't make head nor tail of it as it's just a pile of deleted messages from Malibu Pine!

It seems to me a hate campaign was waged by a daily newspaper and social media. The guy has done nothing illegal and many of the things he's accused of are rumours that we have no idea are true or not. It's a worrying state of affairs in so far as who knows when social media will take against one of us.

I'm not This Mornings target audience, I dislike Schofield, Willoughby, Hammond and Clark. I wouldn't care if the whole show combusted and we never saw it again. But mob rule is worrying. It's unpredictable and easily bored. And can turn its gaze on anyone.

So true. But threads like these about PS are recurrent on mumsnet, I’m genuinely puzzled as generally it’s a pretty right on platform.

Aquarius1234 · 21/05/2023 17:18

There has to be a reason why the Likes of Andy Peters PS Stephen Mulhern etc etc keep the sexuality private .
It's certainly no big deal yet they seem to think the public shouldn't know.
Which is fair enough but I always think being ultra vague it makes them assume the public would care.
If I found out a kids tv presenter was gay in 1998 I wouldn't care more gossip really. I was at school then.

Aquarius1234 · 21/05/2023 17:22

HappyMe6 · 21/05/2023 10:46

I can’t stand him such arrogance huge ego

Remember when he said he had lost so much weight in the months leading to the story breaking out he was gay and he couldn't sleep or eat etc.
Well it's more than just coming out as gay..

BonesBrennanz · 21/05/2023 17:26

@Aquarius1234 are you implying he has aids?

Wheredowegonobodyknows · 21/05/2023 17:31

What 😳

Bringonthesunforthewashing · 21/05/2023 17:35

What is going to come out then?!

Aquarius1234 · 21/05/2023 17:39

Lol I just have always wondered why it's all so secretive in the 'showbiz' world!

Aquarius1234 · 21/05/2023 17:40

No apparently the story was the papers were going to run the story so PS had no choice bit like Ant and do an interview on his terms..

Newnamenewname109870 · 21/05/2023 18:56

Connect3 · 20/05/2023 18:42

And an (ex)boyfriend approx 40 years his junior who he first met when the boy was 10yo and PS was patron of his theatre company. All of that is on the public record and neither deny the relationship. Boy was 15 when PS first followed him on Twitter and 18yo when he got a job on TM.

But when did they start dating/sleeping together?

Newnamenewname109870 · 21/05/2023 18:58

So it was like Cheryl cole knowing Liam before she dated him as a young adult?

And I agree I find the whole secrecy thing ridiculous. When posters claim to know celebs or secrets but can’t say. Even if you know a celebrity I’m pretty sure you’re not the only one in the world who knows them and they’re not going to know it was you who said something, even if they were sat there trawling mumsnet.

BonesBrennanz · 21/05/2023 19:07

@Newnamenewname109870 if he was a patron of a club the boy was in from 10 and then has a relationship with them once they are of age that is pretty much the definition of grooming.

Hellenabe · 22/05/2023 06:41

Phil seems to be leaking disgruntled stories with ITV now.

Jakethekid · 22/05/2023 09:58

Eamon Holmes has come out today and spoke out about it. He seems to be alluding to Phillips goings on...

Jakethekid · 22/05/2023 10:01

He actually says that he knows stories on both of them and his phone is full of people that are happy he's left. Let's see if anyone starts speaking out aswel. Daily mail are deleting any comments that go against the feeling sorry for PS story they're pushing

Wheredowegonobodyknows · 22/05/2023 10:51

@Jakethekid Thread made about Eamonn

brassbells · 22/05/2023 15:48

He has put out a SUPER INJUNCTION gagging all the press and TV and a certain young man from saying anything BUT the SI restrictions are due to end soon and then the truth will come out

That is why everyone on TV and press are being vague about the truth - they don't want to be sued

If he was innocent why would he go to that expense

I also think that a certain female knows all about it and the details of what has happened so wanted to distance herself from it before the restrictions ended same with ITV

And if she did know and covered it up for so many years then I think she should go too

WildFlowerBees · 22/05/2023 16:11

Why do people keep saying there's a super injunction when there isn't? More likely an NDA.

GuitarRookie · 22/05/2023 16:13

@brassbells but then if that is common knowledge behind the scenes at ITV, why would they have kept him on for other shows? New and existing. If they know the shit is going to hit the fan, surely they'd just cut all ties and terminate all of his contracts now.

grass321 · 22/05/2023 16:52

WildFlowerBees · 22/05/2023 16:11

I thought it was an injunction until a PP pointed out that you can't even mention the existence for a super injunction.

An NDA makes more sense although presumably the part about expiring in July isn't the true? (I'm assuming there may have been a payment involved).

Jakethekid · 22/05/2023 18:09

Dan Wootton has just published an article on daily mail about how apparently he was dropped so quickly as they worried someone will sabotage him live on air for things he has done. Its all slowly coming out. Dr ranj has also spoken about how his views don't align. Slowly slowly

MyCupIsFull · 22/05/2023 19:38

It's better than Corrie, you couldn't make it up
Who let it get this far and who decided to pull the plug?

Ostryga · 23/05/2023 06:44

Haywirecity · 22/05/2023 19:08

If there's a superinjunction, how do you know about it?

It’s the Streisand Effect isn’t it? The harder you try to hide it the more obvious it becomes.

The super-injunction only cover U.K. press. So other countries are still able to report about it. That’s likely where it’s come from.
