What services/apps/boxes do you subscribe to each month?

Other than the obvious of Amazon Prime and Netflix... what subscriptions do you have that you think are worth paying for?

I am usually fair tight when it comes to spending money on myself but I am starting a new job soon and will be able to justify a little treat. Currently, I'm thinking of something like Headspace, but curious to know if there's anything you're prepared to spend money on that actually feels worth it to you, given the cost of living crisis and all that!

Thanks so much for any ideas. :)

I don’t have anything! I have a gusto account and used to get a box about once a month but I haven’t used it for ages. I only get Amazon prime if I go to order something and they have a free offer one. Don’t have Netflix or Spotify or anything like that.

Monkeybutt1 · 29/04/2023 17:18

I get a delivery from the Craft Gin Club every other month but you can choose how often you get one, I love it and look forward to it arriving 😊

ostentatiousocelot · 29/04/2023 17:24

We have a veg box, cheese box, and 2 newspaper/magazine subscriptions. They vary in frequency from weekly to every 2 months depending on the sub.

Gousto every week.Different dietary needs in the family and it's made meal planning so much easier.I also pay for nutracheck monthly to track calories.

I used to have loads of beauty box subscriptions but cancelled them all a couple of years ago - I now have a better idea of what I like and will use, plus none of the boxes were very diverse. I get the Liberty beauty drop which is a box every 3 months but the money goes into a sort of loyalty savings scheme so you can redeem the money you’ve paid in. I am subscribed to dermatica too.
Other than that, loo roll, dishwasher tablets and rinse aid, bin bags and a few other boring household bits come on a rolling 4/6 week subscription but I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for 😂
I looked at treatbox but the contents looked a bit naff. Notebooks, stickers, postcards, socks and an iced biscuit sort of thing. Doesn’t seem much of a treat for me really.

CurlewKate · 29/04/2023 17:32

Earth and Wheat. Absolutely fantastic "wonky" bread. We get a box every 2 weeks. We don't always use it all, but I make croutons or breadcrumbs or freeze any surplus. Highly recommended.

TheChosenTwo · 29/04/2023 17:33

Meant to say we get headspace membership with work but I haven’t used it, don’t really know what it is.
tv subscriptions but I don’t watch any of them. I would be lost without Spotify!

Stripycatz · 29/04/2023 17:40

I've had clothes boxes, an art box, stationery box, umpteen beauty boxes, an eco box, plant and garden subscriptions, yoghurt club, pasta club, cheese subscription, recipe boxes, veg, meat, and I'm sure some others that I've forgotten.
I love them!

I have a book subscription which I love as I love special edition books! There are loads available depending on what type of book you like

ashamed1235 · 29/04/2023 17:46

God, loads! Audible, Kindle Unlimited, Apple Music and tv, BritBox, Disney, Netflix, Now Tv…. But we are unsociable! We have family sharing and Apple everything and we often cancel when offers come to and end and then rejoin… more in the winter and less in the summer.

Also… app to play online scrabble without adds, about to join Caroline Girvan’s new app.

Oh and weekly veg box plus occasional stuff from decent butchers and cheese mongers but less with COL. last time for Christmas.

To balance this we don’t eat out, go to cinema, no deliveroo etc so I like to convince myself it balances out! 😂😂

ashamed1235 · 29/04/2023 17:47

Oh and the Times newspaper app.

hungryh1ppo · 29/04/2023 17:47

We get a wonky bread box from Earth and Wheat. We have magazine subscriptions for the dc (beano and the week junior). We get a monthly snack box for the dog from lily's kitchen!

I would like a wine or gin box but haven't found one that takes my fancy yet.

Gym membership and English heritage.

always fancied a houseplant subscription though

Nothing except Amazon subscriptions for monthly Lavazza coffee beans, CIF Bathroom Mousse and Lenor Unstoppables.

Because somewhere between the sex, drugs and rock and roll, and 2023 I became the type of person who has monthly deliveries of Lavazza coffee beans, CIF Bathroom Mousse and Lenor Unstoppables.

WestOfWestminster · 29/04/2023 17:57

There is a magazine one you can get that has all the digital versions of magazines on it. I forget what its called but if I recall correctly its about £7 a month.

Christmascracker0 · 29/04/2023 17:58

Currently only the Liberty beauty drop.

I did have a Grind coffee subscription and go through phases of Hello Fresh/Gousto if that counts.
