Just poured a voddy and lemonade. DH is away so just me and the teen. Won't be drunk but up for a chat as 14yo boys aren't generally up for a Friday night with their Mum.

I am stone cold sober at the minute but I intend to alter that at 8pm

Typical! I have to drive later (chauffeur to teen), and I'm shattered, so I just need to focus on staying awake & not on missing out on the party, have fun!

Does anyone remember them warm crispy coated nuts you could buy in some pubs , I could eat them by the bucket full .

Or them little packs of 'ploughman's lunch' 2 crackers a triangle of dairyle cheese and the world smallest silverskin onion.

I've just had two giant gins, had no tonic, so made do with lemon Fanta. Really good actually!

I’ve just got in the hot tub and dh brought me out a beer - not planning on drinking more than that but then I spotted he’d bought a nice bottle of red from the shop
so maybe I will! Haven’t had a drink for a while - I may be asleep by 10!!
