Sounds a fine evening. And that's a Bill Bryson book I haven't heard of before, thanks for drawing my attention to it 😊
Now ordered. Unfortunately I can't join in the imbibing at the moment due to unsettled guts after a bout of food poisoning (dodgy mussels).

Crisps aren't what they used to be. And don't even get me started on Pringles. Ugh.

Funnily enough, he's spent the last two days defumigating and decorating my son's old bedroom. I got the paint wrong (why does the colour always look wildly different on the walls than the (a) tin and (b) brochure) but he's done a lovely job.

That's as much as you're getting out of me tonight. It's been a stressful week so it was just what I needed to be fair. I have a few locals I'm happy to pop into on my own, even if I'm the only woman. That just means there won't be a queue for the loo.

No not new at all! (I've just checked and it came out ten years ago - I knew it had been on my shelf a while).
