Has anyone used them. They look like they have some lovely clothes for a good price?
quality?
any feedback?

Ive placed several orders with them. A few items end up being a bit dodgy but on the whole im impressed with most of it! Im wearing a shein sweatshirt now which is so lovely and soft, washed a fair amount of times with no bobbling etc. I have had more expensive sweatshirts go bobbly already!
Very quick delivery, usually a week faster than the website tells you.
The downside is Evri will be in charge of delivering your parcel. They lost half of my last order :/ which shein refunded without complaint.
There is of course the moral/ethics argument but right now i need clothes that i can afford. Im not buying 4quid dresses to wear once and then chuck away.

check the reviews for sizing, it can be all over the place

Bemyclementine · 23/04/2023 13:28

The things I've had have mostly been really good. I agree to check for sizing, also length of tops

Hit and Miss

I find for my DDs and accessories it’s great.

I’m a plus size and the curve range is really good but 50/50 on quality and material. Some stuff can be really nice, other stuff cheap. BUT, saying that I walked around a few shops yesterday and found a lot of clothes out at the moment quite cheap flimsy material, so no different to what’s in the shops.

My 11 year old lives out of a pair of jeans I bought from Shein, they have held up better than ones I’ve bought from tescos & next.

I’ve got a big order on its way full of T-shirts, dresses and accessories for my DDs for summer.

Read the reviews, lots of people post pictures too as you get shein points which you can use towards shopping. Sizing can be very off which is why the reviews are good. The jeans my 11 year old is living out of I actually bought my 8yo (size 7/8).

AliceMcK · 23/04/2023 13:34

also agree on some sweater quality, I have a sweater I bought my DD over 2 years ago, no bobbles, bought her a £50 Hype one at Christmas and bobbled after the first wash.

AtrociousArtichoke · 23/04/2023 13:54

it's made by slaves, and is horrendous for the environment. why would you order from there?

megletthesecond · 23/04/2023 13:56

Bad for the enviroment. Really cheap tat.

DinaofCloud9 · 23/04/2023 14:01

I like the way people post photos wearing the clothes so you get a good look at how it will fit.

Some things don't last but I've had some stuff that's been well made.

They are literally the worst of the worst. Get the worst ethical ratings, worst environmental ratings etc.

All returns go straight to landfill as it's cheaper than recycling

M0ose · 23/04/2023 14:05

Almost my entire wardrobe is from Shein. They have really nice dresses and are pretty fair dinkum.
Some quality and sizing are hit and miss but I only buy dresses under $15 for myself so no drama there!

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 23/04/2023 14:08

I'm wearing a dress from there now. Definitely check the measurements, the sizing varies massively between items. The quality varies so check the reviews.

SugarSyrup · 23/04/2023 17:24

I feel guilty about the environmental impact. But for plus size affordable clothing, it's brilliant. I'm a nearly 40 year old and find plenty of clothes for me, I'm currently wearing a black jumpsuit that I'm always given compliments on.

Really take time to read the reviews and check the pictures as sizing can be a bit hit and miss, but, I do that and rarely get it wrong.

Also, I read that they send all returns to landfill because recycling is too expensive and as such if I don't like an item, I pass it on to a friend or give to the charity shop- I don't buy things from there over £20, so I figure I can take the hit more than the environment can.

This. I just have no idea how people can still use fast fashion, it’s absolutely morally wrong. If you can’t afford proper ethically made clothes then buy from Vinted/charity shops.

Nachobowls · 23/04/2023 17:27

Yes love it

spiderlight · 23/04/2023 17:29

I bought a couple of things from them before I realised how ethically appalling they were, and the quality was absolutely shocking. They were enormous as well. Went straight back and I wouldn't ever shop with them again.

safetyfreak · 23/04/2023 17:30

I found their tops to be made from cheap material but, I have a couple of nice dresses from them and I got a jean jacket which was good quality. So it is hit and miss... their refund process is good.

ThePaperTrail · 23/04/2023 17:30

It's fast fashion. Terrible for the environment and unethical working practices.

It's cheap for a reason.

Ohow · 23/04/2023 17:31

God this thread is so an example of what's wrong with the world.

Livinginanotherworld · 23/04/2023 17:33

They treat their workers appallingly, it’s slave labour, please don’t use them. There is a documentary about it on YouTube.

wildthingsinthenight · 23/04/2023 17:36

Unethical. Slave labour. Terrible for the environment. They have different legislation re chemicals where their clothes are produced so some of the clothes could actually be harmful to you and cause allergic reactions.
I can't believe there are people who don't know this.
They are the worst of the worst

I do two orders a year. Warmer weather and colder weather but i don't need to do one for the weather warming up this time. It isn't fast fashion in this house. I buy things to last. Can't afford not to. I dont think im the target audience, I spend a couple of days looking, reading the reviews before I choose anything. I certainly don't go for the fashionable look. Only once had an issue with the quality.

Laughloveloneliness · 23/04/2023 17:42

I have no idea why I quoted you there @ItsCalledAConversation sorry!
