Has anyone used them. They look like they have some lovely clothes for a good price?
quality?
any feedback?

They use slaves to make their clothes and the clothes have toxic chemicals. I saw a documentary on the BBC a few years ago exposing the truth behind fast fashion and it was awful. Not just Shein but other brands - people working for nothing, living by the factory which was pumping out toxic chemicals and poisoning their water. Some of them had mercury poisoning. Avoid fast fashion.

I do two orders a year. Warmer weather and colder weather but i don't need to do one for the weather warming up this time. It isn't fast fashion in this house. I buy things to last. Can't afford not to. I dont think im the target audience, I spend a couple of days looking, reading the reviews before I choose anything. I certainly don't go for the fashionable look. Only once had an issue with the quality.

If you are changing your wardrobe with new clothes twice a year you are buying into fast fashion.

Laughloveloneliness · 23/04/2023 17:49

I don't @VivaVivaa due to circumstances I won't go into we didn't have much to start with. I own two coats. A thick one and thin one. I try to do it as cheaply as possible. Plus 2nd hand shops.

I just placed my first order this week! Excited for it to arrive and see what its like.

Laughloveloneliness · 23/04/2023 17:52

I've just been somewhere to pick my daughter up and had to brace myself to get out of the car as all the other mums looked so put together. So please don't lecture me on morals.

Nachobowls · 23/04/2023 17:57

How long does delivery take

lemons44 · 23/04/2023 17:58

I love the look of the clothes but I can't bring myself to order 🙈 apparently the workers are treated awfully. I read they work 18 hour days and get 1 day off a month. I can't bring myself to order from a company like that.

TheaBrandt · 23/04/2023 17:59

Even teens don’t buy from there it’s reputation so bad

This. I just have no idea how people can still use fast fashion, it’s absolutely morally wrong. If you can’t afford proper ethically made clothes then buy from Vinted/charity shops.

As is often pointed out on threads, Charity Shops aren't there to make clothing the Poor affordable. They're there to extract the maximum amount of money from middleclass purses out of the things they are given.

When you have people on ZHC, facing huge increases in fuel bills and food inflation running at 20%, it's incredibly insulting to have people who are clearly far more financially secure to have a go at them for wanting clothes in keeping with their restricted incomes.

No, I'm sorry but eff that. The way to feel better about the inequality in the west is not to pile into global inequality. One persons desire for new clothing or to 'keep up with the other mums' does not justify rape and slavery.

Lunaloonytunes · 23/04/2023 18:02

If you’re typing this on a smartphone, made in Chinese sweat shops, using cobalt mined by children in Africa, then you can’t criticise people who buy from places like Shein

Laughloveloneliness · 23/04/2023 18:04

H&M, Zara, Adidas and Nike are the worst clothing companies for slave/child labour. Teens don't te d to have a problem with them brands do they? Many of you won't either.

Laughloveloneliness · 23/04/2023 18:05

@Ohow wow, is that what you get from my post? Talk about speaking from a place of privilege.

SunnyLion · 23/04/2023 18:05

I like it. Sizing can be tricky so always read reviews.
Delivery used to be a month, now it's around 2 weeks.
Refunds are quick.

eyesfullofstars · 23/04/2023 18:11

I’ve never bought from them. As others have said, the slave labour and environmental impact is appalling.

mummyh2016 · 23/04/2023 18:12

Yes I've had a few bits. I'll only buy stuff that has been reviewed though. Quality is good for what you pay.
Stuff always arrives quicker than it states, 1 item arrived within 2 days and originated in the UK, I don't know if maybe they now stockpile returns here so if it's reordered it's sent straight back out.

Prinnny · 23/04/2023 18:16

I’d say I’ve had a 90% success rate but some isn’t great quality eg zip breaking on a dress after two wears. The accessories are great, also party decorations balloons etc.

maddy68 · 23/04/2023 18:20

They are ok. Primary quality and cheap fabric. But I have loads from them They tend to come up small so so for the next size

LadyKenya · 23/04/2023 18:33

Most people are buying things that have been produced by the exploitation of other people unfortunately.

Lunaloonytunes · 23/04/2023 18:36

Avoiding anything made ‘by slaves’ or in sweat shops is impossible

Oh stop it. How many phones do you buy a year? A phone has many functions compared to a pair of leggings, a dress and a skirt that you'll throw away in a few months.

And one bad thing doesn't mean you should never speak about anything else.

Ever been mean to someone in secondary school? Well you have no right to criticise bullies. Ever shouted at your child - then you can't criticise smacking.
