Where’s the furtherest North & South you’ve been in the UK

For me Yorkshire/Whitby would be the furthest North, although I will be in Newcastle for the first time next month. Never been to Scotland but it’s on my list:

Furthest South would be Lulworth:Dorset, absolutely beautiful.

Lossiemouth in Scotland is furthest North. Furthest South is probably Falmouth in Cornwall.

emmathedilemma · 14/04/2023 15:33

Cape Wrath - the most north westerly point on mainland UK and Orkney.
I've been to Cornwall as a kid but rarely go south of the M62 these days.

PuttingDownRoots · 14/04/2023 15:33

Furthest south - St Michaels Mount in cornwall.

EffortlessDesmond · 14/04/2023 15:36

The Moray Firth is as far north as I have been, but I grew up on the Lizard which is as far south as the UK goes.

clary · 14/04/2023 15:36

I’ve been to The Lizard, which is as far south as you can go.

Northwards, I went to Edinburgh as a child I think. Should go back.

LittleFreakJezebel · 14/04/2023 15:36

Edinburgh
Cornwall (Tintagel is the furthest south I think)

ChippyDinnerTonight · 14/04/2023 15:37

squashyhat · 14/04/2023 15:37

South - Jersey (does that count? If not Land's End)

dimpleton · 14/04/2023 15:38

Kirkwall (Orkney islands) and land’s end!

BCBird · 14/04/2023 15:39

Lans End and John o Groats. Happy days.

DontMakeMeShushYou · 14/04/2023 15:39

Kind of surprised so many people have given a trip to Land's End as their most southerly destination but not then ventured to Lizard Point (the actual most southern point).

Anyway, Lizard Point is the most southerly I've been, Inverness is the most northerly.

AncientToaster · 14/04/2023 15:39

St Catherine’s point on the Isle of Wight.
Aviemore in Scotland

reddingweddy · 14/04/2023 15:40

I've been to Hermaness on Unst and the Lizard.

TabbyM · 14/04/2023 15:41

Torridon or Black Isle to the north, Salisbury or Bath to the south

Newusername21 · 14/04/2023 15:41

Most North - Inverness
Most South - Guernsey

Orangebadger · 14/04/2023 15:41

Inverness in Scotland and cannot recall the place name but the southern point of the lizard peninsula in cornwall, pretty sure that's further south than lands end.

DelphiniumBlue · 14/04/2023 15:42

Lizard and Orkney.
