Mine are from the 90s

Babushka, Caledonian Road - Friday DJ nights, everyone dancing on tables, the lot!
Over the Hill wine bar, north London. Good times 😍
The Spanish Bar in Bradley St, near Tottenham Court Road

I've been to the Flask and the Spaniards Inn

I walked past the Spanish bar recently, I'd completely forgotten about it, but had some great nights out there over 20years ago!

aholidaynotacarpark · 10/04/2023 12:18

Does anyone remember Soma on Mile End Road? I lived just around the corner from it in 2002 and loved the place but I don't think it was there for very long.

Theimpossiblegirl · 10/04/2023 12:27

Anyone remember Cinderella's and Neptune's, in The Mumbles, Swansea?

More recently, the cider bar at Tucker's Grave and The Sheppey, Godney, both Somerset.

Furries · 10/04/2023 13:10

I haven’t been to any listed so far.

Am going to stick with the UK for mine, but I don’t think I’ll be winning any prizes.

The Royal Standard, Forty Green
The Cumberland Arms, Alston
The Eagle, Old Amersham
Paradise Lost, Watford

Trefforest Non Political Club, where I saw the Manics just before they were famous.

The Cockpit under the railway bridge in Leeds was an awesome night out too.

The Pen y Gwyrd Hotel. Long time HQ of the Alpine, where great expeditions were planned, and tales shared, where the boots of great mountaineers now hang off the beams in the Smoke Room.

Been to the cockpit. That was pretty fun

foodledoff · 10/04/2023 13:19

Of those previously mentioned I have been to the Café de Paris in Monte Carlo, Leo’s in Donegal, The Bear in Street and The Albion in Guernsey.

I give you The Helmsman in Guernsey and the Lairhillock Inn near Stonehaven, both now closed unfortunately, The Black Lion in Brighton and The Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor.

m00rfarm · 10/04/2023 15:01

Stingy Lulu’s NYC

Mxflamingnoravera · 10/04/2023 15:55

@Custardbanana No. I mean the Apple Tree by Windmill Hill City Farm. It's an old drinkers pub, not a nice place. Unlike the dying cow! Which is my fave pub ever.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 10/04/2023 16:04

@MrsTerryPratchett I hope it was because you had divulged an extra juicy tale of a drunken night at a now demolished shit hole of a bar? 😁😁😁😁
As I said prev, I can't compete on this thread, but I'm def here for salacious stories!

@MrsTerryPratchett haven't RFT but I spent many happy nights at Casas in the mid 90s with its legendary chippy and tea bar! What was that cocktail place in town? Kasinskys??
