'90s and early 2000s reality tv shows

Does anyone else remember when reality tv shows were becoming popular? Things like Driving School. Remember Maureen? And Life of Grime with Mr Trebus? He had such a sad story.

There was one about the residents of a particular street but I can't remember what it was called now.

Can anyone remember any others?

The Osbornes had me in a chokehold!!! I was obsessed. I think they were the first reality show that followed a family and spawned everything else ever

I loved The Osbornes. Especially the episode where they got a dog behaviorist to try to stop the dogs pissing and shitting everywhere. I also have a vague memory of Sharon throwing a whole ham at the neighbours for some reason.

I feel so nostalgic reading and remembering these, even those that I didn't watch. I can remember a few details about most of them.

That's The Real World and every season would be a different city. I loved it as it seemed so cool to go live in this great apartment/house in a busy city.

There was a series in the late 80s that showed inside someone's house and they talked about their style and their favourite things. Called Signs of the Times. It was wonderful

Am sure that's on iplayer archive as I watched it a year or so ago.

I just remembered Faking It. Did anyone else watch that? They had to convince experts that they were professional conductors/DJs/Drag queens etc.

I loved Newlyweds with Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. Looking back it's all hugely problematic but so much TV was!

Yes! I always remember the rep who got with the Spanish guy and they filmed their wedding, their first dance was Simply Red ‘all around the world’

And who can forget ‘do you know what the Spanish is for flan? It’s flan!’

Anyone remember the first ever Big Brother? It truly was a social experiment, none of them even thought it would get watched. But we were all talking about it and they had no idea. Amazing tv.

Oh my god the faking it episode with the classical musician/conductor trying to be a DJ was soooo wholesome. She’d never even been to a nightclub before and the DJ took her along (she was wearing a sensible jumper and sporting a rucksack) and they were willing her to succeed. It was so different from the sneeriness of later reality shows.

He was on deserted island with a mixed group of couple and families in Scotland,
