Have you been to a place no one else has been to?

I'll start. The idea is you name the place and a fellow MNer has to say if they've been there. However, you don't have to wait until you've been somewhere to post. Post your places and you'll meet the MNers who've been there. You can post 1-3 places (random numbers).

I don't even know what the Whitsundays is so I'm not as well travelled as you lot.

I have however been to the top of the Emley Moor TV transmitter, so I'll go with that.

I am so envious!!!!!

I live very close, have entered so many raffles etc over the years for a trip up. My next door neighbour works there and I work with someone who used to (I actually recruited him to his current role, although no ulterior motive).

I have been to Rwanda though.

I'm not sure I can compete much, but here goes:

-Inside the Thames Barrier
-Six weeks on the Island of Raasay
-A town in Texas whose name is my (modestly unusual) surname. Turns out it was build by my ancestors.

A dangerous but not war zone part of the Middle East. Government permission. Armoured vehicle in a convoy. Armed escort, with machine guns mounted on the roof of 2 vehicles. Terrifying in some ways but also humbling: a child’s smile is the same the world over.

Ras Al Khaimah. Which is not massively obscure or exciting and rather dull, you really need a reason to make the effort to go.
