Have you been to a place no one else has been to?

I'll start. The idea is you name the place and a fellow MNer has to say if they've been there. However, you don't have to wait until you've been somewhere to post. Post your places and you'll meet the MNers who've been there. You can post 1-3 places (random numbers).

I've been to:

Rwanda
The Whisundays
Cathedral Grove (Vancouver Island)

On here, Tanzania has had maybe two mentions; Dodoma and Arusha. No mention of Dar es Salaam, let alone the seething metropolis of Tabora, where I was born 😂😂😂

Love Dar Ed Salaam - Haven of Peace. I used to go there all the time but haven’t been in years. We used to catch the ferry over the harbour then a cab down the coast and stay at Kipepeo beach cabins, or head to Bongoyo Island for the day and have fish and chips cooked on the beach before feeding the scraps to the moray eels that lived in a pool there. One time we flew in a puddle jumper over to Zanzibar. I wish we still went there.

I think drinking holes is a great idea. Could be worldwide. As long as it's well-known. Although if it's your thread it can be your rules! Make sure to start it before the 1000 posts on here!

Reading this has reminded me of so many fantastic memories of places visited years ago. Haven't seen it already but lived in Ceylon many many years ago - now called Sri Lanka. My dad worked there on a contract and we all got to go too. Wonderful experience

My parents were there (and Samreboi, in the Western Region of Ghana) round about that time too - wouldn’t it be funny if they’d ever met?
