Have you been to a place no one else has been to?

I'll start. The idea is you name the place and a fellow MNer has to say if they've been there. However, you don't have to wait until you've been somewhere to post. Post your places and you'll meet the MNers who've been there. You can post 1-3 places (random numbers).

I've been to Île de Bréhat when staying in Paimpol. Did you know that Bréhat isn't a single island but is an archipelago?

I’ve been to Brasov! We took the bus to Bran castle and we had so many language difficulties I’m not sure we actually paid for tickets in the end 😳

On a trip to Chicago I also visited Milwaukee. Has anyone else been to the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland? It’s were my grandparents came from.

I'd like to add another one I've just remembered though.

The Moon.

The Moon is a really small street in Kirriemuir in Angus. Grin I lost my photo of me with the street sign a long time ago, I should go back for another as it's not that far from us. Grin

Making it my mission to go to The Moon soon!

I too have been to Phillip Island 🐧, and I’ve been to Broken Hill and the banks of the Murray River.

@MrsTerryPratchett no they did not mention the Town Called Alice connection while I was on Green Island. I wonder why not, it’s a pretty cool reference.

Unusual but still tourist places I have been:

Petra and the Wadi Rum in Jordan - simply amazing!

Varosha - the (until recently!) sealed off part of Famagusta in Northern Cyprus - fans of Victoria Hislop’s ‘the sunrise’ will recognise it.

Masada in Israel. Interesting but the hottest I’ve ever been in my life!

Varosha/Famogusta is very interesting!
I've also been to Petra. I'll add Azraq and Aqaba to the Jordan list

Anyone driven the Oregon coast? Or been to Mt St Helen's? I did WA state down to Salem Oregon. Beautiful scenic coast!

I did the Oregon and Washington coasf and Mt St. Helen's in the 1980' when I lived just outside Seattle for a year.
So I'll ad Poulsbo WA, Læsø Island, Denmark, and Kiruna, Sweden

🤣 It might end up being the most claimed place on this thread with that rule. And it means I can claim two Moons then I guess. 😁

And @BridieConvert - it's worth it literally just to say you've been to The Moon. It's honestly the tiniest street with just a few houses. The street sign I'm sure is just under one for JM Barrie's birthplace. I once saw a house for sale there and I'd love trying to explain that it's the real address to someone. 😁
