Is that a muppet peering through the window? I cant work this one out at all, is it a residential home, I wonder? Clearly Im winning the 40 million on Friday. I have never been to St Johns Wood I think Paul McCartney lives there. Not in this house though https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/123301931#/?channel=RES_BUY

Check out this 4 bedroom detached house for sale on Rightmove

I think it’s charmingly quirky. I walk past quite often, interesting to know what it’s like internally. I’m assuming older owners (e.g. the standing hairdryer) downsizing or going into residential care.

ComtesseDeSpair · 05/04/2023 18:07

Actually I think that’s a massive anglepoise lamp, not a hairdryer!

Daisyismynameorisnot · 05/04/2023 18:08

I think it's beautiful. It has a real warmth to it. I'm not keen on people putting other peoples houses down on forums. It's nasty.

Cookerhood · 05/04/2023 18:09

I don't think I've ever seen an orange bathroom before!
Love the ghost outfit (vicar?)

TrenchVagina · 05/04/2023 18:10

I thought I saw a hairdresser's sink so perhaps it is a hair dryer.

Kanaloa · 05/04/2023 18:10

Wow, it’s wacky! Very 70s/80s, but I think that’s coming back in. I love the bathroom, it’s very retro cool, but the kitchen is too bright for me! I don’t know why but I can not stand colour in a kitchen. I don’t mind wood cabinets instead of white but I hate colourful kitchens.

MrsBunnyEars · 05/04/2023 18:11

I bet that kitchen is amazing (60s?).

CindersAgain · 05/04/2023 18:11

I think it is a hairdryer.

Marylou62 · 05/04/2023 18:12

If you look closer.. looks like a hairdresser sink! I think it is a hairdryer...

EachandEveryone · 05/04/2023 18:13

Yes Im trying to work out the era. Its a gorgous building and it does make a change from the blandness of so many London higher priced homes. I just want to know who lives in a house like this?🙂🙂

I love it, and the Muppet owl is gorgeous. I would be insisting he was part of the sale before parting with my millions

twolilacs · 05/04/2023 18:17

Never mind the Muppet - what about the crocodile?

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 05/04/2023 18:18

I applaud its unbridled hideousness!

Ponderingwindow · 05/04/2023 18:18

I think it’s lovely.

I’m so tired of seeing the same interior over and over. Homes should reflect their owners.

Hoppinggreen · 05/04/2023 18:19

I love the bathrooms tiles

EachandEveryone · 05/04/2023 18:20

Theres alot of ornaments. I dont know if its a group of artists that have lived there or what. The outdoor area is gorgeous but those fish wouldnt last five minutes with the bus load of cats I would have to bring with me.

I think it's stunning and you can see it's much loved.

PussBilledDuckyPlait · 05/04/2023 18:21

I really like it! I imagine detached houses like that must be rare in London.

EachandEveryone · 05/04/2023 18:22

Its very deceiving from the outside it looks like a vicars house. I bet it is full of jolly japes inside. Theres alot of fancy dress bits around.

OP posts:
Clymene · 05/04/2023 18:24

It's beautiful. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had that kind of money lying around

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 05/04/2023 18:25

@PussBilledDuckyPlait Loads of detached houses in SJW, but very few with an interior like that! I’m sure they’re mostly all grey with cinema rooms and colour-changing showers.

mewkins · 05/04/2023 18:25

An aged hairdresser to the stars would be my guess. The sink and the rack of hairbrushes etc. They must have been there for decades.

SisterAgatha · 05/04/2023 18:27

Oh I want it!

RosesInWater · 05/04/2023 18:28

Charming to me, and the little garden on the side is the icing on the cake. However, even though I know it's SJWood is that a big price for that property does anyone know or guess?

twolilacs · 05/04/2023 18:17

Never mind the Muppet - what about the crocodile?

What crocodile? I've been through the photos 3 times not found a single croc!
