Inspired by another thread where the MNer was struggling to get a house for £1.5 m I was wondering what's available near to you with that price tag.

Here's one local to us.

I'm being really picky. Many of them I'm not that keen on! Wink

Well I live in London so...........

Deathraystare · 31/03/2023 13:02

@PritiPatelsMaker

Nice grounds but hate the kitchen.

Deathraystare · 31/03/2023 13:10

That house in Yorkshire has a tremendously fugly dark hall way (the one with red curtains and stair carpet).

MaidOfSteel · 31/03/2023 13:10

I had to go a bit farther out and look on either side of the price, but found these two.

That house in Cumbria started out alright until I saw the carpets and that wood all over the ceiliing.

There may well be a house for me (probably not in London but if it and its garden could be moved to West London!.... Perhaps I am too picky but I want to stay in London. I loathe beams, artex, wood ceiliings (WHF???). Also if you are paying that much the place MUST have a decent sized garden, green house(s), garage (even though I do not drive), garden shed and be a house not a flat. Asking too much?

Madlymumming · 31/03/2023 13:18

I rather like this one. Handy for shops and the Cathedral 😋. Way out of our price range mind you

There's a nice garage near my house that's up for £50k. 🫤😬🙄🥺

Deathraystare · 31/03/2023 13:21

@toodlesofoodles

Actually some of that house ain't bad - the Liverpool one. I loathe all the wood though.

toodlesofoodles · 31/03/2023 13:23

@Deathraystare the kitchen is AWFUL

Deathraystare · 31/03/2023 13:25

I am actually not looking to 'fantasy buy' a big house. My Godson lives in a new build. Very nice but not if you rely on public transport like I do!

Of course if I didn't stubbornly insist on staying in London, that 'fantasy' amount would go a very long way indeed. Some people just can't help themselves, can they>????
