So primary teachers
Secondary school teachers

What would they roughly get paid?

That's the point. No one knows and honestly what does it matter?

Itstarts · 31/03/2023 19:17

And the hardest job will be different for different people!

I think being a social worker would be the hardest job for me because of the emotional impact I feel regarding serious safeguarding incidents at school. I couldn't cope with that 24/7.

I was a carer for a few years and didn't find it particularly hard or tiring. I needed a job with more challenge. My MIL really finds being a carer tough due to her age.

A colleague was a reporter for a big newspaper before teaching. He finds teaching more challenging and much more stressful but he has also told stories of his ex colleagues burning out in journalism so is clearly a hard job for them.

I know loads of people that wouldn't stand a chance in a manual job like bricklaying or plumbing.

Different strokes for different folks!

@Sherrystrull

Because no one, not even teachers, thinks it is

It might be, but if even teachers don't think it is then its unlikely

That's not even slightly what anyone has said. You're manipulating people's posts on purpose.

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 19:27

@Itstarts

Nah.

I just cba with the no one ever says that!!

When we all know fine well that's what you mean

Anyway it just goes in circles as I said.

Itstarts · 31/03/2023 19:31

Well yes, clearly you 'cba' with reading. You've proven that repeatedly.

It's not what people mean.

It only goes in circles because you keep insisting it's what people mean.

Itstarts · 31/03/2023 19:32

It's unsurprising you think it's going round in circles if you don't bother trying to comprehend replies and keep trotting out the same few phrases.

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 19:35

If its not what people mean why the annoyance and well it could be when I say it's not?

No ones saying its not. But no ones saying its not not either

😂

It's OK if you think teaching is harder than most other jobs you know

I certainly think mine is

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 19:35

Including teaching

😉

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 19:37

@Itstarts

It's not just me.

As sherry said it happens enough to make her think she's banging her head off a wall.

Teachers say something that either expressly states or implies that teachers are worse off than other job roles

Others say, eh no, mine is as bad or worse

Teachers say but no one said teaching was unique

Blah blah

Itstarts · 31/03/2023 19:41

On a thread about teaching, teachers challenge misconceptions about teaching. That does not in any way imply teachers think they are worst off.

If a teacher went on a nursing/carer/binman thread to say 'at least you're not a teacher!' you would have a point. But that is not the case.

Sherrystrull · 31/03/2023 19:41

@Botw1

Why are you so determined to state how easy teaching is? You say you've done teaching but not in a classroom? I'm perplexed by where you're coming from.

⭕️

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 19:51

@Sherrystrull

I'm not

I'm sure its very difficult and challenging. With long hours term time.

Sherrystrull · 31/03/2023 19:55

So what is your angle?

Easterfunbun · 31/03/2023 19:57

You’ve previously said you’re a band 5 nurse, then stated you weren’t a nurse. Now you “teach” but not in a classroom. Sweet Lord 😂.

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 20:02

@Easterfunbun

If you can quote where I said I was a band 5 nurse or that I wasn't a nurse?

Amd surely as someone with such a vast knowledge of nursing you're aware that all nurses teach students?

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 20:03

@Sherrystrull

I dont have one

Your disdain for teachers come across strongly. I don't feel that way about nurses. There must be something at play.

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 20:09

@Sherrystrull

Thats nice

Easterfunbun · 31/03/2023 20:11

@Botw1

I am on my phone. Quite frankly, I can’t be arsed to even scroll back. I mean I’m certainly intrigued at what it is that you do considering you’re an expert on both nursing and teaching except you are neither and never have been. I mean talk about arrogance.

No actually, not all nurses teach other nurses. It goes without saying you lead by example, and you help and guide your fellow nurses, but no you don’t teach them unless you are appropriately trained to do so and getting paid for that responsibility. You have no idea do you?

Sherrystrull · 31/03/2023 20:11

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 20:09

@Sherrystrull

Thats nice

It's not nice. It's normal.

Being so bitter about other jobs that you have no knowledge about is just odd.

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 20:12

@Easterfunbun

Holy shit

🤣🤣

Botw1 · 31/03/2023 20:14

@Sherrystrull

I'm not bitter and I don't have disdain for teachers exceot maybe for how they come across on threads like these but I'll hold my hands up to a fair bit of provocation
