Things you like cooked/made 'WRONG'

I love a floury cheese sauce, especially in macaroni cheese - do not like the cheese pull everyone tries for. Bland and floury please.

I like undercooked pastry, so it's still a bit squidgy...soggy bottom pies are the best!

The burnt/brown crisps that everyone else leaves. Not bothered about 'eyes' on potato products...adds to the crunch! No so much any green bits on chips/crisps but won't leave them either.

I like flat fizzy drinks too, including prosecco/champagne; prefer it, fewer burps!

Can't stand rare roast beef, which is the right way to eat it

Give me the burnt bits

I like cold tortellini. Hot I can take or leave but I love them cold and always make sure I keep a few back in the colander for me to eat afterwards.

You know all those pretty looking shiny bright green veg in pretty dishes on recipe cards/books/telly/Instagram?

Well, I hate to break it to you, but they’re underdone. Broccoli, cabbage and kale taste best when the green just takes on a slight olive tinge - not so the life and soul has been boiled out of them, but just enough to be yielding and slightly sweet. You want bright green, you make a salad.

If you plunge them in ice cold water after cooking, they go back to bright green and then hold that colour with a quick plunge to reheat in boiling water.
