Wearing pyjamas in the house ...

Does anyone else just wear pyjamas when home?

As soon as I'm home for the day and I know I'm not going out again I change straight into my pjs no matter what time of day it is.

I was just wondering if this is a common theme or just me?

I do.

SunshineGeorgie · 12/03/2023 12:25

Wearing pyjamas in the house??

Well yes, where else would you wear them?

mumontheskoolrun · 12/03/2023 12:26

WakeMeUpInspring · 12/03/2023 12:24

I do.

It's kind of a guilty pleasure for me. I just feel my most comfortable when doing this.

Sometimes I wonder if my DH is sick of seeing me in pjs & my dressing gown.

Yep, I change in to mine as soon as I can. I'm in work today, will finish in the afternoon, then put my pjs on as one of the first things I do when I get back!

My DP is the same as me, so if he is sick of me in them, then I'm sick of him in them too 😉.

FrenchandSaunders · 12/03/2023 12:27

Nope it would make me feel like I was poorly.

Felt rough yesterday and stayed in PJs on sofa all day. Better today and dressed.

mumontheskoolrun · 12/03/2023 12:28

@ThisMustBeMyDream my DH does it too, just not as much as me! 😂

Yes, but most of my pyjamas are plain coloured jogging bottoms, t shirts or hoodies. So loungewear I suppose. It means that if someone pops round unexpectedly (like yesterday) or I have to run to the supermarket then I don't have to get changed and nobody would be any the wiser!

BelindaBears · 12/03/2023 12:29

DH does, but then takes them off for bed. I have interim comfy house clothes, and then put pyjamas on for bed.

7Worfs · 12/03/2023 12:29

Nope, pyjamas are for sleeping only.
I feel very strongly about it.

I’m not British though, so me judging your local customs shouldn’t matter. Grin

Local customs! 😂 I'm going to call it that from now on if challenged! 👏🏼

Yeah all the time. They are warm

multivac · 12/03/2023 12:45

Pyjamas after work, once I know I won't leave the house again. Naked for sleeping.

Bonjovispjs · 12/03/2023 12:47

I'm never dressed when I'm at home, it's all about the comfort. I live on my own though, so no one ever sees me.

QueenMabs · 12/03/2023 12:47

No but I have thin joggers and a variety of sweatshirts that are practically the same a pyjamas. I think of them as day pyjamas.

user1471538283 · 12/03/2023 12:55

I put mine on as soon as possible! I don't care that during the winter I look unsightly. My bf wears these god awful shorts that I'm sure predates my knowing him. But we are comfortable.

I love pyjamas!

Thisisformathilda · 12/03/2023 12:59

Absolutely. More loungewear than the fluffy type though but yes I am all about comfort and relaxation.

HeadNorth · 12/03/2023 13:05

No, but I don't really own pyjamas - I don't sleep in anything. I wear joggers and long sleeve shirts in the house. If I'm away somewhere I'll maybe sleep in a vest top and take a dressing gown, but I don't own matching pyjamas - I think they look a bit twee.

Eeiliethya · 12/03/2023 13:08

I have "loungewear" that is pyjamas in all but name. And the bra is off.

AlliumSeeds · 12/03/2023 13:08

I used to before I moved into town 😂. Now I live somewhere within walking distance of friends I've upped my game a bit, yoga pants/tops.

shivbo2014 · 12/03/2023 13:09

Not pj's but definitely take off jeans, tights and dresses, etc and put on comfy joggers and a top.

Polis · 12/03/2023 13:12

Pyjamas for sleeping.

Abracadabra12345 · 12/03/2023 13:13

Yes but I wear a beautiful kaftan on top so no one knows what’s underneath

HappyBirthdayLydia · 12/03/2023 13:14

Pjs can go on if you've been out all day- come home, change, comfy pjs & dressing gown post bath/shower

However it's feels all sorts of wrong to stay in slept in pjs past 10am....

But comfy leggings and hoody which are basically pjs are fine for all day home chilling

🤷🏻‍♀️
