Wearing pyjamas in the house ...

Does anyone else just wear pyjamas when home?

As soon as I'm home for the day and I know I'm not going out again I change straight into my pjs no matter what time of day it is.

I was just wondering if this is a common theme or just me?

I don't wear pyjamas, even to bed, but I always change out of my "real" clothes immediately upon returning home. I call them my comfy clothes, so basically lounge wear.

If I'm in, they are on. Even if I'm going back out in an hour.

Sleep naked though.

This! It doesn't matter if I know I'm going to be home for an hour or the rest of the day, comfies/pjs go on.

Also sleep naked, not sure I could wear them all evening and in bed too.

Do people who sleep naked have the heating on in their bedrooms or a 50 tog duvet or something? Even in PJs and with hot water bottle I’m still shivering in bed.

No heating on overnight, I've always slept naked in all seasons.

I have a thick duck feather duvet and a deep filled mattress topper so I kind of sink into the bed which probably makes it warmer than just a standard duvet and mattress. X

I have "almost pyjamas" ie loungewear or fancy pyjamas 🤣

beachcitygirl · 12/03/2023 17:18

And yes bra off the minute I walk in the door! If someone could bottle that bra off feeling !!

This is me. I have more lounge and sleepwear than anything else. I also have a large variety of wooly winter house socks.

Oooh, yes! Forgot about 'house socks' and 'shoe socks' and never the twain shall meet!

I even have indoor slippers (fleece/suede 'mules') and outdoor slippers (fleece lined crocs).

There's just something 'Ahhhhh, yes' about slipping into a pair of pjs and cozy socks and curling up on the sofa.

spiggydit · 12/03/2023 17:29

My loungewear/PJs are seasonal - by which I mean I wear them in the house all winter (I'm another year round naked sleeper)

But in the summer I wear dresses to keep me cool whether in the house or out - maybe significantly less underwear when in Grin

WolfFoxHare · 12/03/2023 17:36

I wear PJs bottoms round the house if I’m not going anywhere but I don’t sleep in them. They’re just my comfy loungewear. I would want to sleep in a pair I’d been wearing all day, or sit around in a pair I’d slept in.

WolfFoxHare · 12/03/2023 17:38

I sleep in a slip nightie under a 4 tog duvet with the window ajar! No heating. I do chuck a blanket over the duvet if it’s very cold. Also my DH is very hot.

Oblomov23 · 12/03/2023 17:40

I put on my dressing gown asap, at every opportunity. I lounge around in it if I'm not going out too. I only own pj's fir going away for the weekend with the girls.

WhereAreTheChocButtons · 12/03/2023 17:42

Yep. Even if I home half hr i put them on, well the bottoms.

Globe22 · 12/03/2023 17:43

No, Pyjamas are for bed time - my teens disagree. I just feel slovenly in them. My opinion of corse - not bothered what anyone else wears.

Cocobutt · 12/03/2023 17:49

I do but my PJs don’t look like proper Pjs and so I could probably get away with it if someone knocked on the door.

I also take them off before I get into bed (unless it’s freezing) so technically they aren’t proper PJs which is how I justify it to myself 😁

DragonbornMum · 12/03/2023 17:49

Nope, jammies are for bedtime only

I seem to be this reallystrange breed of woman who only buys clothes if they're comfortable?

LifeunderMarrs · 12/03/2023 17:51

I don't even own pyjamas and we sleep naked!

dizzydizzydizzy · 12/03/2023 17:57

Yup. It's a signal to the family that I am now in relaxation mode. I put them on when I get home from work, even on the day I get in at 1:30pm.

WeWereInParis · 12/03/2023 18:02

I do. They aren't the pyjamas I sleep in, I call them my day time pyjamas. If nothing else it stops me getting food (from trying to feed my 10 month old) on my nice clothes.

hattie43 · 12/03/2023 18:06

Yep , I have more PJ / loungewear than proper clothes . As soon as I get in they are on and I WFH in them . Even my dog walker is used to my Oodies now .

maddiemookins16mum · 12/03/2023 18:15

I’ve been known to put them on by 5pm.

EspeciallyDedicated · 12/03/2023 18:17

What sort of bras are you all wearing that you need to take them off before bedtime? I don't even notice mine.

Snailsaresweet · 12/03/2023 18:39

I work from home, and can't think of anything more depressing than spending all day in pyjamas or lounge wear. I wouldn't wfh in my smartest clothes, but neither my jeans or my bras are so uncomfortable that I feel a need to take them off at various points. I actually don't own a dressing gown - I do have a posh kimono for weekends away, but on a day to day basis I don't really need one. I get out of the shower wrapped in a towel, put on some (comfortable) clothes and come downstairs to get on with my day. At the end of said day, I'll probably put on slippers and I may wrap a throw around me when I'm sitting on the sofa watching tv.

bigbluebus · 12/03/2023 18:42

Nope. Shower and get dressed into clothes every morning after breakfast then stay in clothes until I go up to bed to read around 10pm. DH is the same.

Exactly. I wear 36H and unless I sleep in them (naps) I am not bothered at all. Going bra free is really awful for me, I sleep without bras, absolutely fine but walking around the house is not good.

MeinKraft · 12/03/2023 18:54

I try my best to stay in my day clothes until dinner time but don't alway succeed. The lure of flinging off my bra is too strong.

Emmamoo89 · 12/03/2023 18:58

I do
