Luxurious treat of utterly inedible?

I'm just opening a box of chocolates I had for Christmas. I love chocolates, but looking at the flavours these sound a bit 'out there' (ie, gross!) Or am I just being a fussy-pants?

Walnut marzipan
Saffron fudge
Pistachio truffle
Rose fondant
Violet fondant
Cassis jelly
Earl Grey truffle

What do you think? Would you fall on these with delight or wave them away?

Eat them. Then you will know if you like them.

Sound hideous combos,I only like cadburys or galaxy because I definitely know what I am eating .

They sound like flavours I wouldn’t necessarily think of putting with chocolate but could be delicious. I’m willing to try most chocolate though.

Walnut and the pistachio sound nice, anything flower flavoured though 🤮🤮🤮

They all sound delicious, except for the Earl Grey. There’s been a thread on here about Rose and Violet creams (= fondant?)

You can keep the rose and violet ones, I'll have all the others though.

Some of those I’d like and some I might not be sure of, however I have a sweet tooth so I’ll happily bite into almost any chocolate and if needs be just nibble the outer if the filling isn’t great 😂 Waste not want not!

Whereas I think Cadburys and Galaxy are greasy and disgusting. The OP's chocolates sound much more interesting.

I would fall on them like a pack of hungry wolves. Have heard of most of these, indeed, eaten lots of them. Where have you been, OP, that you don't know these flavours?

I agree @CaptainMyCaptain - if you melt galaxy the amount of oil that separates out is really gross.

Oh I would love those! Sadly the likelihood of anyone ever buying me Prestat chocolates is exactly zero 😭

That walnut marzipan is exquisite.

My (not usually horrid) family ate the rest of the box I received at Christmas, not realising that they were one of my presents rather than a box to share.

I'm keeping fingers crossed for Mothers' Day.

I'm not generally a fondant fan but I'd happily give that selection a taste test.
