It's a no from me.
Far too fussy and right under the Heathrow flight path.

2PintsOfCidernaBagofCrisps · 02/03/2023 16:29

3.2 million to have neighbours kids' screaming over the hedge 10 feet away, in their massive paddling pool? No ta!

cittigirl · 02/03/2023 16:52

No, not for me

countvoncount · 02/03/2023 17:24

Absolutely love it
I'd swan around with a martini all day in this house

Batmannequin · 02/03/2023 17:55

I love marmite. However, there is nothing to love about the decor in this house.

HotDogJumpingFrogAlbuquerque · 02/03/2023 12:45

Wasn’t that on Hugh Dennis Huge Homes which was on all4??
if I remember the owner was in his 80s and quite eccentric

I knew I'd seen it before on tv but couldn't remember what programme or what channel.

BubziOwl · 02/03/2023 21:09

It's bonkers and quite awful - but I absolutely love it Grin

ConkerBonkers · 02/03/2023 21:19

It is extremely close to the Thames, I wouldn't want to drop 3 million in a house that was a flood risk.

TattiePants · 02/03/2023 21:20

The outside space is nice but I’m struggling to find anything I like about the house.

EspeciallyDedicated · 02/03/2023 21:24

I wouldn’t live there if you paid me, there’s not a single room that I like.

Badger1970 · 02/03/2023 21:25

Fuck me, that's appalling. I work in interiors and every room offends me.

Love love love the garden/outside though.

TicTac80 · 02/03/2023 21:27

I don't understand whether it is trying to be a medieval castle or a Mediterranean villa. I love some parts of it, but hate other parts. I'd be worried about dusting, maintaining the features in the gardens/patios and the bloody bugs/mosquitos in the summer due to the water features!!

Suzi888 · 02/03/2023 21:28

That’s …. horrid. I don’t like the outside either…. 😳 with that price tag I’ll never need to worry 😂

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/03/2023 21:37

What an interesting house!! I wouldn’t like to live there… the thrones facing each other by the fire is a bit weird… love the bridge over the river to get to it. It’s almost how I imagine Bilbo’s duplex in the Hobbit

MistyGreenAndBlue · 02/03/2023 21:57

I've seen this one before
DH found it and we spent an enjoyable 20 minutes or so making fun of it
So... yeah 😂

Ohnanawhatsyourname · 02/03/2023 22:13

The ceilings are so low, and not in a cosy way, with walls seemingly jutting out at angles? It’s very claustrophobic!

And the aerial view shows it’s a relatively small plot of land, everything shoved in.

Are the walls and features at funny angles? It’s like looking through a kaleidoscope, but of beige and white columns and stairs.

Nice to see something different though!

Ohnanawhatsyourname · 02/03/2023 22:14

Somehow it’s like the house version of those little castles you see in fish tanks

Jellykat · 02/03/2023 22:17

Yuk (but i love Marmite)

Jooliusreezer · 03/03/2023 07:12

All that money and neighbours are inches from you at every turn.

Also that place is flood-tastic.

megletthesecond · 03/03/2023 07:17

Horrible and gloomy. Except the white dining room which I do like.

reluctantbrit · 03/03/2023 07:29

I think whoever can pay the purchase price has money enough to sort out redecorating.

I like the outside, some of the rooms and the general feel. But some rooms are designed for nightmares.

redspottedmug · 03/03/2023 07:30

All the 'features' are out of property on - I thought the photos had been stretched sideways!

Flood zone

No river frontage. Absolutely hemmed in on all sides

Dust magnet

The price Shock

I do like the courtyard / folly though.

Grumpafrump · 03/03/2023 07:58

I haven’t RTFT, but it’s not my cup of tea. Fake old and OTT faux-Italian opulence. 🤢

TheIsleOfTheLost · 03/03/2023 07:59

The lack of garden puts me off. What is there is interesting, but at that price I would want land.

EnjoythemoneyJane · 03/03/2023 08:13

Completely bonkers and utterly hideous in every way. But I love the eccentricity of it and how hard they’ve committed to the general nuttiness and bad taste - it’s great seeing houses that people have done up purely for their own enjoyment versus the usual blah neutrals.

The sad thing is they’ll probably be a bit bewildered as to why no one’s biting their arm off for it, but they’ll struggle to find that one person who thinks it’s fabulous and also has 3 million quid hanging around in spare change. The price tag is definitely in keeping with the fairytale theme.
