I really love it however :)

Was picture 27 taken by a ghost?

Giggorata · 02/03/2023 10:30

So over the top and unique, I can't help but love it, even though the boring grey bathroom and lilac bedroom are disappointing.
That courtyard alone would do it for me.

babybunny123 · 02/03/2023 10:33

It looks like one of those houses from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, loads of money but no taste.

BreviloquentBastard · 02/03/2023 10:33

I'm not sure how I feel about it. The outside is adorable but the inside is bizarre, I'm not sure there's not too much going on for my taste. I think I'd love to spend a couple of weeks there, but not sure I'd want to live there (or clean it!)

Bimbleberries · 02/03/2023 10:33

There seems to be a throne room where two giant chairs sit across from each other by the fireplace with pews in front of them!

I like bits of it, but somehow as a whole, it doesn't work - it just looks artificial, like a sort of Disney-land mock up of a castle

It looks like a touristy restaurant you'd find somewhere in Greece! It's bloody awful, just imagine all that dust in all the crevices. That staircase is so ugly.

It does look like a massive dust magnet!

It’s got crypt meets Benidorm vibes.

I prefer it when people have a bit of individuality, but wonder when they want someone else to pay over 3 million quid for what is essentially a glorified dormer bungalow wedged in next to a load of other houses. So I think it’s cool, but wouldn’t want to buy it.

bussteward · 02/03/2023 10:39

Horrid and you’d have to live near Slough.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 02/03/2023 10:41

Oh dear... nope. Awful. Very heavy. It makes me feel claustrophobic just looking at it.

tillyoumakeit · 02/03/2023 10:42

God it's awful! Always amazed at how much money people will spend and still end up with something horrific!

DCINightingale · 02/03/2023 10:49

I Love it!!

rhowton · 02/03/2023 10:49

I could not hate this house more! You're so right... Marmite.

Gingernaut · 02/03/2023 10:49

Ah yes.

Sunnymeads with it's medium to high flood risk, on the banks of the Thames and near a series of lakes.

No thnaks.

Sheitgeist · 02/03/2023 10:52

That is my favourite house ever.

SignOnTheWindow · 02/03/2023 10:53

That is one of the most vulgar houses I've ever seen, but I also kind of love it! 😳

Trinity65 · 02/03/2023 10:53

Nah, its not for Me
Its far too "busy" looking and don't seem to be one thing or another

Mutabiliss · 02/03/2023 10:54

The decor is hideous, but it has the bones (and garden) of a wonderful house. I would totally buy it and slowly change it to my taste.

Dizzydebbie88 · 02/03/2023 10:55

AvengingGerbil · 02/03/2023 10:25

It'll be less lovely when those water features all pour into the house. Wraysbury always floods.

I agree.

I know one or two people who have to have pumps in their cellars because they live in a low-lying area.

lalaloopyhead · 02/03/2023 10:56

It reminds me of a mediterian styled restaurant/hotel - its certainly interesting and has an appeal but I am not sure I would like to live there.

Littleflowerseverywhere · 02/03/2023 10:56

I don’t hate it, but it’s a little too much for me.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 02/03/2023 10:57

You couldn’t even rent it out as a location shoot.

SouperNoodle · 02/03/2023 10:57

There are aspects of it that I really like but it's so disjointed that it's hard to make sense of.
I couldn't live there but I'd love to wander around it.

CharmedUndead · 02/03/2023 10:58

Someone wanted to recreate their Italian/French holidays. And I applaud their efforts. But I wouldn't want to live there. Good find, OP! Fun to see.

Crikeyalmighty · 02/03/2023 10:59

Outside is nice- rest is Horrible and I don't like the area (moved 3 months ago ) gives me the creeps

Everyotherone · 02/03/2023 10:59

Feels a bit oppressive to me - the ceilings are a bit too low for the style. I don’t hate it, but I wouldn’t want to live in it.
