Looks impossible to clean, I'm not the cleanest person but it made me feel sneezy.

Handsnotwands · 02/03/2023 11:01

it's so confusing. and chunky.

FriedEggChocolate · 02/03/2023 11:01

That living / dining room looks like a mediterranean restaurant. I wanted to love it, but didn't. No need for a throne room all things considered.

My kids would love it though, and expect it to come with the suit of armour.

coeurnoir · 02/03/2023 11:02

Love it, but the dining room carpet looks wrong....wonder if they'll knock the price down for that 😝🤨

Rainbowshit · 02/03/2023 11:02

Ugh. Money really cannot buy taste.

BeStrongLittleRodney · 02/03/2023 11:03

I’m one of the haters

starfishmummy · 02/03/2023 11:04

Oh good grief!!

I feel exactly the same about it as I do about marmite!! Yeuk!!

MyriadOfTravels · 02/03/2023 11:04

It is indeed … particular

I like quirky stuff but that’s not my style

Zhougzhoug · 02/03/2023 11:05

If Alan Partridge and Nigel Farage ran a taverna with 2.5 stars on Tripadvisor

Spanielsarepainless · 02/03/2023 11:09

Described by Rightmove as 'period'. Which period?! And I bet they have a mosquito problem in the summer.

Yesthatismychildsigh · 02/03/2023 11:09

To quote the lovely Dolly Parton ‘It takes a lot of money to look this tacky’. Actually I think she said trashy but that’s not quite the correct word in the U.K.

CiaoBellisima · 02/03/2023 11:10

I’ve seen this on a tv program. The guy was so proud of his home.

Showersugar · 02/03/2023 11:11

Far too decorative and fussy for my tastes (those ceilings!), but you can tell this has been a real labour of love for the sellers - I hope they are successful in finding buyers who will treasure it as much as they have.

MaidOfSteel · 02/03/2023 11:12

It's like it doesn't know which architectural style it wanted to be, so had a go at everything.
There are s couple of beautiful parts, but it's not for me overall.

Grin I couldn't live there but wow, what a find! Why couldn't it be used for location filming? Parking issues?

Calphurnia88 · 02/03/2023 11:17

Would love to have a mini break there but not live permanently!

Ultravox · 02/03/2023 11:18

OP - are you Tony Soprano?

WhisperingAutistic · 02/03/2023 11:24

I love it! So quirky and different.

MarshaBradyo · 02/03/2023 11:25

It’s a bit Escher

Crazy. I take it it was built recently

Coxspurplepippin · 02/03/2023 11:27

Claustrophobic and I'd be worried bits of pillar and plinth were going to drop on my head.

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 02/03/2023 11:28

God it's bonkers! Wouldn't want to live there but would quite enjoy a few days there.

Dreamstate · 02/03/2023 11:29

I like the exposed brick walls, I find the mouldings on the ceiling too much. The staircase is too much. Its a bit too much! If you stripped some of it back a bit it could be incredibly beautiful.

TheFireflies · 02/03/2023 11:31

I am a big fan of maximalism, of eccentric and I like a bit of exposed brickwork.

However I do not like this!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/03/2023 11:31

Love it!

Toddlerteaplease · 02/03/2023 11:36

That is hideous!
