If you are at home today, what temperature is your house?

Without the heating on our house seems to fall to 11-12 degrees. I don't know if that is normal or if I just really feel the cold. We obviously can't afford to have the heating on all of the time but I just find it so miserable being cold.

It's all well and good wrapping up in a fleece in a freezing night but don't forget houses need heating too and, if you don't , big damage can be done.

I speak from bitter experience and would never ever leave a house cold again.

I think this winter has toughened me up. I work in the north facing kitchen in our chilly Victorian house and it has been 14.5 degrees all day until I put the heating on at 5pm. I put an electric fan heater on for half an hour every now and then and figure it must be cheaper than heating the whole house all day.

Unusual for my house to go below 14 degrees tbh. It tends to be a bit of a greenhouse. Very stuffy in summer.

19 and I'm cold, thinking of going to bed to be honest. I really feel the cold. Thankfully we aren't on gas heating, have piles and piles of free wood so I can keep warm without a massive British Gas bill. When I wfh I sit with an oodie and two blankets and preferably also the cat, and when I used to work in an office the air con was always too cold for me😂.
I promise not to moan about any heat waves.
