Chippy tea- what's your order?

I'm heading to the chippy for tea for me and the kids tonight, what would you like and I'll add it onto my order?

No fat in coke, Irn brew 🤔

So similar to a Scottish slice, but round? 'Veggie roll' my arse.

If it's just beef and a bit of spring onion though, isn't it just a beefburger?

Pizza crunch and chips with salt and sauce. It's bloody lovely.

I was gobsmacked to work at the Irn Bru factory in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England. I felt like I'd been lied to all my life.

'Made near Nottingham, from Chemicals' just doesn't sound the same.

Chicken and mushroom pie please. Unless you are in the Northern town where I used to be able to get little steamed suet beef puddings. (Yum). I'll share a chips with someone. And if there's a potato scallop....

Of course if the fish is wonderful at your local I'll have that, but since our local chippy changed hands the fish is dreadful.

I live right by the sea….and often the fish is woeful. You have to pick your chippy.

Well you did not bring my order over to me (what's the matter, was West London too far out of your way?) but luckily I had already had a cheese and coleslaw baguette at work and was not hungry when I got home!

Hmm not sure a cheese and coleslaw baguette is compensation for a chippy!

Every single chippy within several miles of me. Even the one with a tiny menu does it - fish, chips, pies, sausages, mushy peas, gravy, curry and rice.

My chippy does kebab suppers, mac and cheese suppers, baked potatoes, omelettes

When I moved to Scotland and made my first chippy visit, I asked for scraps and they didn't even know what they are!😫Luckily, we found another that makes them for us.

Mealie pudding supper with a picked onion on the side please. Plenty of vinegar on the mealie pudding please!

Cheeseburger with fried onions and a gravy chip with peas (got to get those vitamins in) and onions please.

also would sometimes get smoked sausage supper and a single black pudding in batter which is delicious . Am desp for all this now 🤤

Crispy chilli chicken, half rice/half chips, portion of veggie spring rolls.

Half pizza crunch with loads of salt and vinegar.
Chips and curry sauce.
A few fritters.

Cod, chips and gravy over the lot. Two lots of vinegar (one in the shop, one at home) and salt.

@Tarkan where I am, a pizza crunch is a battered, then deep fried pizza. As opposed to the normal deep fried pizza without batter. I’ve got one on the way just now!
