My daughter did this, too! It was closed at the top and she cut a door and a window into it and stuck pictures on the walls. It was so cosy, I was envious.
OP, you should move into the box and declare it your office.

A place I go to for my work has a large dark and warm cupboard. A couple of weeks ago one of the staff was asking if anyone would notice if she just sat in there quietly all day.
