There’s a really big empty box at work that I could fit in.

How frowned on, on a score of 1 to 10, 1 being mildly raised eyebrow, 10 we need to contact HR urgently do you think it would be if I just had some nice quiet time in the box?

Today you're a cat - why not it's Friday!

GlassBunion · 20/01/2023 12:30

Get in the box!
You know you really want to.

Eastereggsboxedupready · 20/01/2023 12:31

Every work place should have a nap area. My chef ds had a nap on some shelving in a store cupboard once.
His mates dropped a huge sack of spuds on him! Honestly not sure how he didn't have internal injuries! Laugh about it now though...
Maybe write a posh address on your box op? You might wake up somewhere exciting!

DanceMonkey19 · 20/01/2023 12:36

Do it!

purplecorkheart · 20/01/2023 12:36

Do it. But make a do not disturb sign like a hotel room first and hang it outside. Make sure to bring a coat or something comfy to sit on and chocolate.

EmmaEmerald · 20/01/2023 12:38

Surely that's what the box is for?

hope OP is in there now.

dolor · 20/01/2023 12:39

GET IN THE BOX

Upon your discovery inside the aforementioned box, ISSUE DEMANDS and refuse to come out until you have at least a giant cake, some booze, and a pile of puppies to cuddle.

Get someone to dare you, then it's fine.

When I was slim and bendy my colleagues used to challenge me to fit into large boxes. In the school staffroom! Those were the days - when we enjoyed going to work. A little bit of silliness and back to the classroom.

The box

Are you living in a box now OP?

Stoechas · 20/01/2023 12:41

I’m not in the box.

im not even in the same room as the box right now. But I am thinking about it

Oh that looks nice.

Climb in and declare you are WFB!

The box

Oh I didn't see the pic the first time.

don't put "do not disturb" signs up. Just get in the box and see how long before anyone realises.

FictionalCharacter · 20/01/2023 12:42

I’d love that! I completely understand why children and cats love boxes!

ApolloandDaphne · 20/01/2023 12:45

Your theme tune can be Living in a Box by Living in a Box (1987)

Stoechas · 20/01/2023 12:46

I’m worried if I got in the box the reality of being in the box would not be as enjoyable as the imagined experience of being in the box.

GolfEchoRomeoTangoIndia · 20/01/2023 12:47

It looks inconveniently tall. I think you'd need to lay it down on its side and crawl in.

I'm not sure that's a quiet nesting box at all, I think it's a cut-two-eye-holes-shove-it-over-your-head-and-lumber-around box.

SamphiretheTervosaurReturneth · 20/01/2023 12:47

On the other hand it could far exceed expectations.

Hoppinggreen · 20/01/2023 12:49

My Teen loves getting in big boxes, as do the cats.
Ddog is terrified of boxes - probably because cats and teenagers jump out of them

Wow, that’s deep.
Its a metaphor for life

I could step into it and the sort of hunker down I think. Like Jackie Laverty from line of duty, but not dead or frozen obviously.

I think it would be different, but not necessarily disappointing.
