Ken Bruce leaving Radio 2

Just heard Ken Bruce announce he's leaving radio 2 in March.
Him and Steve Wright were the only reason I listened to Radio 2.
What am I going to listen to now?
Can't stand commercial radio, too old for Radio 1, any ideas please?

I don't mind some of the others but there's not much left on R2 now.

Ooo yes Gary Davies would be perfect! I am sad too. I love Ken, and I hate Scott Mills, I really hate all the TV presenters who are now on there (Davina McCall is TERRIBLE) - use proper radio djs! It’s a very different skill.

Oh no. Alexa is set to come on for Pop Master every day. I turn it straight off when Kens not doing it. Gutted.

Apparently he's moving to Greatest Hits radio. I've just googled it and there's Ken's smiling face there. So it's goodbye to R2 because he was the last person worth listening to.

I think that the BBC being forced to publish salaries has contributed to some of the people leaving. The motivation by the government for forcing salary publication was not to improve the BBC but another example of the spite shown towards them.

I wish Ken Bruce well.

Oh noo! Can't stand Scott Mills either. I hope O J Borg gets it, he's v warm and relatable. Apparently a lot of R2 listeners have gone to Boom Radio, not listened to it myself tho.

I went to cricket match once, just a Sunday village thing, and Ken Bruce was doing the commentary! Just because.

I was so pleased when Steve Wright went, I just couldn't listen to him. Ken Bruce is taking pop master with him to Greatest Hits.

I don't listen to radio 2 now but didn't mind Ken Bruce so commiserations on that OP.

We always do Popmaster on the iPlayer. I hope it's going to be available to catch up on Greatest Hits.

I think they need to bring someone younger than Gary Davies in.

My vote would be Rylan but know that Rylan and Richie on the same show may make some of the listeners implode with rage!

Popmaster is going with Ken as he owns the rights. When someone got 39 points last week he didn't mention Champions league and said 'we'll see what happens'.

I would love Rylan to do it but think it'll be OJ who I quite like as well.

I do like the 'younger' DJs coming on Radio 2, I love Scott's show as lots of it takes me back to the 90s.
