Ken Bruce leaving Radio 2

Just heard Ken Bruce announce he's leaving radio 2 in March.
Him and Steve Wright were the only reason I listened to Radio 2.
What am I going to listen to now?
Can't stand commercial radio, too old for Radio 1, any ideas please?

I think it's because all the promo Greatest Hits Radio are doing. He's the face of their social media and they're heavily advertising his new show. I'm sad Ken's going but don't blame the BBC for finishing his show early.

I don't listen to radio all that much, but I always enjoyed Ken. So warm and witty.

Sad to hear this is his last show.🙁

Listening now when I don't normally. Playing Slade How Does It Feel after popmaster. Always a passing when a DJ from a given era leaves. It's all about the context of songs.

I don't listen to his show. I am sure it will leave a hole in many people's lives, and wish Ken Bruce well in his new show.

I was working this morning so currently listening on BBC sounds. Shame the first contestant on Pop Master was so dire and obviously only on for self promotion.

I take that back. She is obviously a big fan of Ken and redeemed herself in the end.

I just couldn't bring myself to listen this morning. It's the first time, ever, that I've chosen to not listen to him.
Radio 2 is now over for me. I'm off to greatest hits Monday morning.
Be very interested to see Radio 2's listening figures next week.

Are you going to pay the extra for ad free @BrownJenkins? I just hate listening to commercial radio with a repetitive advert every few minutes. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.

I had a little tear. Love Ken but am reluctant to listen to GHR. I’ve now found Boom Radio, really enjoying it (I’m 58 so tail end of being a Boomer).

I've not long finished listening and yes it was very emotional. I feel silly really but I'm obviously in good company with other fans. I'll carry on listening to radio 2 in the mean time and then decide what to do when Ken starts at GHR.

@spacechimp79. I'll have to find a way to avoid the adverts. On the very rare occasions I've listened to commercial radio, they've driven me mad.
I'm sure it won't be too expensive, probably be worth every penny to be able to listen to Ken Bruce again.

I have defected ru virgin in weekend mornings for Graham Norton. No ads!

The adverts on GLR are very annoying. They don't seem to play much music at all, whenever I tune in it's either adverts or talking. And the music they do play is much more middle of the road than Radio 2.
