In hiding I guess

ceecee32 · 07/01/2023 21:59

Latest update from police is of the mother on CCTV at Harwich port this morning.

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 07/01/2023 22:00

Dreadful. Wonder where they were off to when they broke down?
Hope the baby is ok.

ChocChocYum · 07/01/2023 22:10

It seems so bizarre. They apparently originated in London, then were on the m61 then wandered into a random area in Bolton. I live nearby and it’s just sort of random suburbia, housing estates etc. Then 2 days later they’re in Essex?? They seem to know she has very recently given birth but also know the baby and the mother haven’t had medical care so how do they know she’s given birth ??? So weird

GoodVibesHere · 07/01/2023 22:13

It's odd isn't it? Why would they hide? There's got to be much more to this story.

SuperPup86 · 07/01/2023 22:14

There's obviously quite a bit more going on - they're not your average 'normal' family gone missing if you read the article. They know she's just given birth and hasn't been checked, nor the baby. Sounds like they're on the run.

Forthelast · 07/01/2023 22:16

I just wonder what her access to medical care has been like, poor lady. Hospitals are very scary places to be at the minute.

Did she maybe give birth in the car?! Or leave blood / pads in the car?

Darthwazette · 07/01/2023 22:18

I wonder if they were on Social Services radar and don’t want to be found.

TurtleTriplets · 07/01/2023 22:18

It sounds like they have reason to believe the authorities would want to be involved with the baby hence going on the run.

This was my thoughts. I hope they are all okay and found soon

That's what I think.

I hope the baby is safe and they all get support

ChocChocYum · 07/01/2023 22:25

Yes there must be more to it. Hope they are found safe and well

Hit the nail on the head there... hope that baby is brought to safety soon

pigsinoodies · 07/01/2023 22:27

Maybe they were trying to get to Harwich to start with and ended up in Horwich, Bolton instead.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 07/01/2023 22:27

Very unusual situation. She is from a moneyed background and I can't imagine how she has arrived in this position.

piedbeauty · 07/01/2023 22:27

Yeah, I've been wondering about this too. I hope the mum and baby are ok. Why are they leaving the country? Was it planned before they broke down?? Can't have been...

determinedtomakethiswork · 07/01/2023 22:30

They obviously had a really good reason for not wanting to be found, and that isn't likely to be a reason that will help the child.

Nowthenhere · 07/01/2023 22:40

"to keep your newborn safe" well that sentence isn't complete is it?!
Safe from what? Safely away from mum and dad?
Safely attached to you, the baby's mum?

Medical professionals don't need to check, it's just great to get support when mum has made informed decisions for her child.

YoSofi · 07/01/2023 22:42

I agree with other posters, it would seem social services were involved before the birth.

Whowhatwherewhenwhynow · 07/01/2023 22:47

I agree maybe social care were involved. Maybe the baby was due to be removed from their care at birth and so they decided to run to prevent that.
I wonder if dad is the risk given they are appealing directly to the mum specifically.

ChocChocYum · 07/01/2023 22:47

yes was thinking the same, safe from what....

OP posts:
Whowhatwherewhenwhynow · 07/01/2023 22:47

Just hope the baby is safe whatever happens.

GonnaBeYoniThisChristmas · 07/01/2023 22:48

Chilling. You just know something is very wrong and a poor newborn baby is in the middle of it all.
