Facebook comments on the news pages are full of clowns encouraging her to keep running and that social services want to sell her baby 😵‍💫

Bangolads · 07/01/2023 23:04

She is obviously due to have the baby removed by family court.

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 07/01/2023 23:06

Why would SS be involved already if the baby has only just been born though? Drugs? Or previous children already in care? Or the father being a danger?

Whatever it is I hope the baby is safe and they find them soon.

Presumably there is a risk (such as the ones you mention) that is already known and very serious. There may have been a pre-birth assessment done already.

it’s all speculation though. It may be something different. Who knows, but the social care theory seems like a likely possibility.

KiwiMum2023 · 07/01/2023 23:12

Suspect he’s a wrong un. The whole thing is very sad.

UnknownElement · 07/01/2023 23:16

One of the main reasons for children being removed is the Mother remaining in a violent relationship.

Running was the worst thing they could have done. If they had worked with authorities that was her or their best chance of keeping the baby, running hasmade it so much worse. Jugs hope everyone is ok.

Sadly this happens. There had to be very serious concerns about the mother father (or both ) for them to decide pre birth.

I know if a case near to me where the parents had previous child removed and moved to another part of the country to avoid the new baby being removed.

Did it work? What happened to the baby?

MissMarplesbag · 07/01/2023 23:24

I know of a baby who was removed from birth parents immediately after the birth because both were class A drug users.

I hope they find the baby soon.

Bookkeys · 07/01/2023 23:24

My immediate thought was social services

IDontCareMatthew · 07/01/2023 23:24

So where are the older children?

ChocChocYum · 07/01/2023 23:25

are there older children?

She has at least one other child yes

PritiPatelsMaker · 07/01/2023 23:30

Both of the photos are supplied by Greater Manchester Police so both have arrested in the past I think?

Oh really? That's not good then, is it?!

PriamFarrl · 07/01/2023 23:32

French media seem to have this idea that in the U.K. social services will remove children at the drop of a hat. There was a French documentary about a group of French people helping English women who were pregnant and had SS involvement get to France before the baby was born and taken away.
I wonder if this is the case with them. SS are likely to take the baby away at birth so they were trying to run to France. Perhaps she was close to giving birth and, as a suggested up thread, there was a sign of this in the car.

Whowhatwherewhenwhynow · 07/01/2023 23:33

Ireland is another common place I believe. I think thresholds for removal vary so leaving the country can be quite effective

TheYearOfSmallThings · 07/01/2023 23:39

They would have access to her passport photos, headshots etc.

I wondered this, the photos shared look like mugshots perhaps.

PritiPatelsMaker · 07/01/2023 23:41

My mistake. Sorry, hadn't realised that.

ImprobablePuffin · 07/01/2023 23:41

Rightly or wrongly I assumed that SS were involved because of either domestic abuse/drugs or similar and they are trying to get away to prevent that. It must be harrowing to know your baby may be taken away even if there is good reason. Obviously this is all speculation but it made the most sense to me. Why else would you shun pregnancy and post partum medical care?

tbf I was watching a documentary once and it seemed some countries don’t remove children the same way they do in the U.K.

pictures do look like mug shots

Whowhatwherewhenwhynow · 07/01/2023 23:43

@SpinningFloppa can you recall the name of the documentary? Sounds interesting

SpinningFloppa · 07/01/2023 23:43

i know someone (sisters neighbour) who had 5 kids removed, youngest was removed in hospital after giving birth so they probably Suspect that will be the case

Whowhatwherewhenwhynow · 07/01/2023 23:46

There a TikTok account of a mum who left the UK to avoid social care (maybe called something like mum on the run). Can’t remembered where she went but she has obviously been successful in keeping her child with her abroad.
