Wool blend socks. Time was when I used to feel a little bit down every day specifically when I was putting my socks on. I noticed this sad emotion was always at the same moment every day. So I decided to invest in better quality socks, and the pleasant texture is now a daily joy to me.

inoroutyouchoose · 07/01/2023 16:48

@AaBbC would you say they're definitely better than non Ugg? I have been tempted but not sure if it's just the brand I'd be paying for

@inoroutyouchoose 100% yes!

I got mine on offer recently from John Lewis - think they were £46

This is my 2nd pair; first pair lasted 8 years (until my cat killed a mouse and hid it in there) and I didn't want to wear them anymore so threw them out with the mouse

I am not over exaggerating when I say how much thin merino wool socks and uniqlo heat tech joggers and polo necks have improved my life! I live in a cold country where winter temps are regularly -10 to -20 and even as cold as -30. I've tried all kinds of socks and thermals over the years, but this winter is the first time I'm truly warm and comfortable. The joggers are slightly windproof so I've been able to pop out to the shops or push the pram round the block to get the baby to nap without getting on full outdoor gear even in -10 which makes life so much easier!

Other small things that give me a joy boost-

Twinings Lady grey

Pain au chocolat

New crime novels like Elly Griffiths

Britbox subscription
