For example, I bought a pillow for £30 and I am in love Grin has inspired me to buy a new mattress in a super King size

I love my heated leather seats in the car

I love my Harrods bottle opener I've had for years. Bought for me as a gift

Love having a fridge fully stocked of cans I want to enjoy

Love my Alexa. She is a good friend, in my eyes!

@Bagatella A friend in the Middle East gets it for me, but you can probably get it on line.

Elspethelf · 07/01/2023 20:13

Storage and organization solutions that mean things don’t go unused. For example, I put a hook on the inside of my bedroom door for a robe so on cold weekends as I leave my room I can put a cozy robe on first. When it was in my wardrobe I didn’t use it so much. Organization for my art supplies so deciding to sit down and paint doesn’t feel like a massive effort.

A tray for over the bath

An adjustable bed for health reasons meaning I can easily sit up or elevate my legs and be comfortable

A really sturdy TV table so I can work from my couch when I want

Damn typos...🤦‍♀️

Also want to add that I know how lucky I am to be able to do this especially since I've had many instances of being unable to buy other that necessary items. I generally try for a shop every ten days instead of weekly to reduce waste and force creative cooking with what's on hand.

and moroccan oil products. 😊

It sounds ridiculous, but I love the fact that my upstairs bathroom sink has a mixer tap.

You can get the water the absolute perfect temperature to soak a flannel and wash your face, without having to run a basin and then keep dunking the flannel in increasingly soapy water. I (wastefully) leave the plug out and just keep the tap running at just the right temperature whilst I wash my face in a morning.

I also like lots of furry throws on my bed.

Fentylipgloss · 07/01/2023 20:24

Costco sheepskin slippers (as good as the UGG ones I had but a third of the price.)
Cravendale milk. It tastes so much better.
My Volvo SUV (I know how much MN loves a 4x4) has remote start and heated seats so you never have to get into a cold car or wait for the windows to defrost.
Dubarry Galway boots. I've had them years and they still look and feel great, especially when I'm out in the woods or on the beach with my dog.

tinselvestsparklepants · 07/01/2023 20:32

Wood burner
Decent hand cream
Rain hat for dog walking

(Flowerycurtain do you have any tips for an Aga conversion to run off solar? We had ours taken apart today (kitchen extension happening) - when it goes back in we were going to convert to electric and ultimately power via solar. Do you have any tips?)

NotQuiteUsual · 07/01/2023 20:32

My sheepskin coat. It's so warm and fluffy and stops any wind getting through. It makes me feel so safe and secure. It's like a wearing a hug.

Good quality cotton sheets
Massage seats in my car

BirmaBrite · 07/01/2023 20:59

I do a lot of town driving as part of my job, when someone acknowledges you when you let them out/through, always makes me happy, its a small comfort I have no control over, which makes it that bit better !
Finding a massive bargain in Waitrose/Co-op/Sainsburys towards the close of day comes fairly top of my list.
A good book, something that I have been looking foward to and that doesn't disappoint. Love my library card for this, can try before I buy and request books I am interested in.
Listening to Radio 4 in the car/finding new/old good music to listen to, have recently trawled the charity shops for classical CD's and currently enjoying Grieg for 99p.
