Fresh cut flowers in a vase - I only ever buy the ones that are £3.50 but the roses and tulips are just gorgeous.

The fact my husband has gadgets and solutions for everything and means my life is easy in so many ways!

My faux fur hot water bottle and my soft fleecy throw. I also bought a lovely soft Hush dressing gown a couple of years ago and love that it just waits for me to need it on a cold day!

My oxo veg peeler, absolute game changer. Also, my dishwasher and utility room.

Spotify. Best £10 a month I spend!

Such a satisfying thread to read.

Hot water tap
good quality mattress & bedding

luxuriously thick, soft carpets in bedrooms & snug
La mer cool gel cream
my car- heated seats, sensored wipers & lights, basically having hardly anything to think about when driving as the car does it all for me
Really deep bath and ceiling speaker in bed our en-suite ; probably the most relaxing room for me in our home

BabyFour2023 · 07/01/2023 21:30

Delivered another; silk pyjamas

ive worn these exclusively for about 3 years now and I wouldn’t wear anything else. Feels so luxurious on freshly moisturised skin and I just love getting into bed.

I do a lot of town driving as part of my job, when someone acknowledges you when you let them out/through, always makes me happy, its a small comfort I have no control over, which makes it that bit better !
Finding a massive bargain in Waitrose/Co-op/Sainsburys towards the close of day comes fairly top of my list.
A good book, something that I have been looking foward to and that doesn't disappoint. Love my library card for this, can try before I buy and request books I am interested in.
Listening to Radio 4 in the car/finding new/old good music to listen to, have recently trawled the charity shops for classical CD's and currently enjoying Grieg for 99p.

I know what you mean. If it's a one way street or there's a traffic island then stopping (if safe to do so) to let a pedestrian across always gives me a warm glow, especially if its raining

CoolSlinky · 07/01/2023 21:43

Dh - he always makes me feel better
After that...
Bean to Cup coffee machine
Preheat function in the car
Sunrise
Cashmere - scarf, jumper and blanket (when the dog hasn't stolen it!)
WIne
A cold beer on a hot sunny day
A super king bed, electric blanket and down duvet, cotton bed linen
Down coat - looks frumpy feels amazing!
Wood burner.

Definitely the bath, and nice bar soap (I miss bubble bath, but won't buy plastic unless essential, so rarely any bubble bath for me now).

My Kindle - means I've always got something available to read. I'm horrible if I haven't got a book.

My Himalayan salt lamp by the side of my chair - gives such a lovely warming glow.

Brushed cotton bedding - makes such a difference to getting into bed in the winter.

Cheap bunches of daffs as soon as they go on sale in M&S

Psst

Have a look at Miniml Smile

Fedupofdiets · 07/01/2023 20:25

Ear plugs. I'm such a light sleeper and those little things changed my life.

Recent purchase my fake oodie I'm always cold but this keeps me much warmer.

My log burner, had it installed last year and best money I've spent.

@Fedupofdiets which ear plugs? I've never found any that are particularly effective or comfortable.

LadyOfTheFliessssss · 07/01/2023 22:00

I have a convertible. I feel like the king of England driving it.

It's an older, slightly unusual model, it isn't worth much, and it leaks in the winter. But driving around on a hot summer day in sunglasses feels amazing.
